Rachels Diary Part:1

A little about me; My name is Sarah- Jane Shearer, I am twenty-two years old, and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. Writing has always been a passion and escape from the real world. Having Cerebral Palsy can limit me in some ways, but writing empowers me to use my own voice and create a world with no limits. Rachel: Part 1 is my first instalment of a series which I am still currently writing, so if you enjoy Part:1 ... look out!

This is my very first completed book, the inspiration for this book is lightly based on my own life, books I have read and enjoyed and recurring dreams I have had throughout my childhood.

My aim for this book, is to be read as a diary. I would consider my readers as a friend, and hope you feel as if you are part of the adventure with Rachel, while she discovers the secrets of her family...

                                                                 All about me                                   

I am Rachel Books, and I am 15 years old. I was born on the 3rd of June 2000. I live in the 'Magic House' in Glasgow. I go to 'Music High' in Glasgow. I love writing and I want to be an author.

My hobbies are reading mostly at night as it helps me relax. I love writing my thoughts down in my diary as well as stories. I love watching tv series. I'm watching Teen Mom now while I am writing this. Art is also my favourite thing to do. I like going out, getting my nails done and shopping.

I don't know anything about my family but this year I do want to find my family somehow. But I know I should wait until next year until I am sixteen until I am allowed to choose to see my parents. I just feel like a big part of me is missing. I have not been adopted or foster by anyone.

I have three best friends, Sophie, Aria, and Chloe. Sophie and Aria are twins who live in 'Magic House.' They have been in the home since they were four years old so, we have grown up together. Chloe had stayed in the 'Magic House' since I moved in up to until last year when she turned twenty-one. She lives in Glasgow as she got funding from the government to get a house. All of us are best friends so, we have a sleepover every month. Chloe is allowed to come over to the 'Magic House' or we go over to her house as the staff trust us. We have a theme sleepover; one person plans the sleepover. I think we are having one tomorrow night as we have one every first weekend in January.

This year my new year resolutions are:

1.     To find my parents as I feel like I am lost. I think it will make me feel complete. I want to see my birth certificate to find my family.

2.       I would like to go on holiday as I haven't been on one.

3.      I also would love to have a birthday party as I have never had one before.
