ISABELLA POV
-

It's the next day and I'm getting ready from school. The events from yesterday make me smile, then the kiss. My first ever kiss.

Subconsciously, I brush my lips with my finger, still feeling the tingles. I brush my teeth and swoop my edges because I have box braids.

Afterwards, I put on some chapstick, and adjust my nose ring.

I put on a navy blue long sleeve shirt with white lace at the collar. It hugs nicely on my waist.

I then put on some dark jeans, and my white all stars. I look at myself in the mirror and smile, I look pretty.

I grab my gray jacket I wear everyday and zip that on, then my bookbag.

I race downstairs and greet my mom and dad, "Hello parents," I say with a smile.

"Well, aren't you happy at this hour?" My dad teases, with a smirk and I laugh.

"Yeah well...I woke up refreshed today." I murmured, playing with the straw that's in my orange juice as I think of last night's kiss.

"Well I'm glad, hurry and eat your food so you can head out." Dad says, as he puts a pancake on my plate.

I dig in.

Destiny comes downstairs, in her work clothes looking exhausted as ever.

I see purple and blue bruises on her neck and gasp, she looks over at me confused.

"Who did that to your neck? Oh my goodness, are you okay?" I rush over to her and expect her neck. She shoves me off her and cackles.

"It's a hickey idiot, something you won't understand." She rolls her eyes and eats my pancakes.

"Woah, a hickey?" Dad exclaims, almost dropping his spatula. Mom just quietly laughs, sipping her coffee.

"Uh yeah?" Destiny gives him a confused look, then rolls her eyes, "Oh shut up, like you and mom never gave each other hickeys while you were teenagers!"

Dad chokes and mom lets out a loud laugh.

"Yeah, like I thought." Destiny muttered, "Come on B, Keyshawn and I finna walk y'all to school."

It took me a minute to understand what she said, but when I understood I had to hold in my excitement.

"Oh, okay!" I said with a smile on my face, I ate the watermelon that was on my plate and grabbed my bag by my feet.

"Well, bye babies. Have a good day..." dad said, but he looked so dazed and unsure.

"Bye, dad!" We yelled back and headed outside, I locked the door behind us as Destiny started walking.
