Monkey and a Mango

"The train you are waiting for is delayed by 4 hours."

The announcement sent him down a spiral of negativity.

After checking out from the hotel, he had already spent hours on the railway station. And now, he had to spend who knows how many more hours there.

The heat was high.
AC in the waiting room wasn't working.
Rats roaming all around.
No decent food available.

It felt like life was taking a personal revenge for something. What was he gonna do for four more hours?

The answer was right in front of his eyes.

There, in the middle of the train tracks, sat a little monkey nibbling at half-eaten mangoes. Someone must have thrown them away from the previous train. And the little one was making a feast out of it.

Watching that spectacle made him realise that you don't need all the things in the world going your way to be happy. Most times, a tiny moment as per your wish is enough.

"When things are not going your way, look for that one little win. It'll be enough to cheer you up."
