JIMIN POV

"Your baby is perfectly fine and healthy." Dr. Marshall said.

Jungkook squeezed my
hand tightly, I could sense
his immense relief through
our mating bond.

Yoongi hadn't taken the news
of me mating with Jungkook
that well in the beginning.

It was a good thing Jungkook knew how to handle his protective brother.

He walked up to Yoongi and
told him how elated he was
being with me.

After I assured yoongi that
I'd do everything in my power
to make Jungkook happy,
Yoongi and I came to an understanding.

I wouldn't go so far as to call
us best friends but eventually
he needed to accept the fact
I was Jungkook's true mate.

"That's great news." I said, beaming at Jungkook.

Today, we decided to run
some errands in town.

I convinced Tae to cover
my responsibilities back
at the pack house.

In exchange, I'll take over his patrol later this afternoon.

Jungkook and my first trip of
the day was to visit the vet.

We needed to get Sandy and
her babies checked out.

Dav said they were fine but he wanted to keep them over
night for observation, just in case.

After the trip to the vet, our
next visit was to the shifter
clinic in town.

I thought Jungkook would
need more convincing to
step inside the clinic.

We were out in public during daylight hours, after all.

Jungkook wore my old base
ball cap and he didn't let go
of my hand the entire time.

Still, we were making tons
of progress.

It soon occurred to me that
Dr. Marshall had fallen
deathly silent.

I found him gazing at
Jungkook's face, a frown
on his lips.

He moved his hand to his
phone.

Shit.

I had a feeling a terrible misunderstanding was about
to occur Dr. Marshall had been
all but professional since we came in and gave Jungkook
an examination but maybe
he was trying to feel the
situation out.

Jungkook noticed the doctor gripping the phone as well.

"Dr. Marshall, Jimin didn't do
this to me." Jungkook said.

The doctor relaxed his hand
on his phone but he didn't
let go of it yet.

In a matter of seconds, he
could call security and they'd storm this tiny office.

That wouldn't do me or the security team any good.

I disliked small and crowded spaces, It was a recipe for disaster.

My wolf would definitely go insane and I'd undoubtedly
cause plenty of damage.

"Some abuse victims automatically come to the defense of their abuser." The doctor said.

I gritted my teeth.

Of course, the doctor would naturally come to that conclusion.

He took one look at my
size, my scars and naturally assumed I was the one who
hurt Jungkook.
