“Anyway… This is my humble abode… we can see an unmade bed, some dust on the floor, a feather that I don't know when it fell…”
“Mine happens to be very similar, but it doesn't have feathers and it has a box for Jellie.” I said jokingly

There were 3 seconds of silence until the avarian started talking again

“Who is Jellie?” He asked
"My cat, that's why she mustn't know about Maui and Pearl loving me"
"Cool.. My name is Grian, and you?"

Only then I realized I was talking to a complete stranger.

“Scar… Also known as GoodTimeWithScar”

Grian laughed as I did my best not to look anxious, I'm not that good at meeting people.

“They often call me Grain,” He replied

Now it was my turn to laugh.
After we calmed down, it was time for the more 'personal' questions

“Well.. Why did you move to this city?” Grian started
“My father changed jobs, and you?” I replied
“My parents want to get back together so…” He continued

I didn't know they were divorced before but good to know, I embarras myself a lot and I'm sure I would have said something inappropriate if I didn't known.

"When I was little I already lived in this city," Grian added
"So you know it? Cause I don't even know what neighborhood we're in"

Grian chuckled at my statement.

"Yes, also because my grandparents live here. Plus I know a few people”

My eyes began to shine. I've never been very social, and knowing that Grian already knew some cheered me up…at least for a while. My smile turned fake at the very thought that they didn't want to know me or that they were making fun of me, if I had never made friends there was a reason and that reason was me.

"I can't wait to meet them"

Grain's POV
"I can't wait to meet them"

His smile looked fake, like he was scared.

"If you want I can show you around the neighborhood sometimes"

Normally I wouldn't make such offers to a stranger, but something told me he needed it and not because he didn't know the city, but because he didn't seem very social and it was probably difficult for him to make friends.

"Really? You are my savior, literally”

He was happy about my offer but somethings told me he was not that fine. The more I talked to him the more I realized how much he was an open book to me. As I said I'm not good at reading people but he expounded them excessively.
Scar's and my attention shifted to the door as there was a knock. The door opened when I said "Come on in" and the figure of two women, an elf and an avarian, entered timidly as if afraid to interrupt something.

“Guys, Scar has to go home,” My mother said

Scar and I looked at each other and then at my mother again.

“Okay, see you later then.” Scar said turning back to me
“Alright and good luck with the move GoodTimeWithScar” I said smiling

Scar, my mother and her mother left the room.
After the GoodTime family left I decided it was time to get to work. I still hadn't met any of the friends in this city and I wasn't planning to before making my room decent, but I knew there was a lot of work and I knew who could help me:

Entra scene:

Grian's POV
Ashley decided to help, but we all know that a six years old cannot be good at helping. She sat on a box while playing with her stuffed T-rex..

“Mom, what does ‘sex’ mean?” Ashley asked out of nowhere
“It’s somethings the adults do” She replied

Technically she wasn’t lying, she was just not telling the entire truth.

“Grian, do you know what it means?” She asked moving her gaze to the parrot-winged boy
“No, I don’t. As mom said is probably somethings boring” I said.

You know, I don’t wanna be the one explaining to her.

“You’re right” She said

She went upstairs and Grian and his mother looked at eachother

“Is she gonna forget?” Grian asked
“If she doesn’t it will be a problem”
