Heyy! Special mention to @KBirrd for giving me the cutest and cheesiest message ever! Thank you once again!

I had a hard time choosing a chapter title for this chapter!

On to the story and I hope you like it!

Chapter 3: Beauty and the Beast

It has been a week after the incident involving a robber and a black-haired, blue-eyed guy named Cole. I don't know why, but that dude keeps coming back to my head, and I have no intention of finding out. That is not the only weird thing that has been happening. I feel like I'm being watched. I'm probably just paranoid since one of my nightmares came true, but I have this sneaking suspicion in my subconscious that I was right.

When I went out shopping the other day and when I went in a boutique, a guy also went in. You're probably thinking, 'The guy is probably just waiting for someone who was also shopping there Crystal.' Yeah, yeah, but no, when I went out of the boutique, he also went out, and when I went inside another one, he also went inside!

It's creeping me out to the extent that I bought extra bolt and locks when I went grocery shopping yesterday for the remaining things that I still haven't bought. I didn't encounter Cole again, thankfully. This was a big city Crystal! The probability of seeing someone twice by coincidence was very small.

Tomorrow is the big day! Tomorrow is the first day of school, or do I say college? I just woke up and I'm currently cooking myself breakfast, pancakes with honey ad blueberries, delicious.

I just finished eating when my phone rang.

"Hey Jay! Hey that rhymes!" I greet on my phone then I giggle with my joke. I was that funny. Nah, just kidding.

"Hey Goldie," a feminine voice greets me on the phone.

"I'm not blonde Diana! Why do you have Jayden's phone, anyway?" Diana calls me Goldie, not because of my hair; I'm brunette, mind you, but because of my eyes. Twisted sense of logic, I know. That's Diana for you.

"Tsk. Tsk. You're just been gone for a week and you already forgot Jay and I's tradition. It's that time of the month Crystal." I roll my eyes even though she can't see me. For all you pervs out there, she means time of the month for their tradition. They exchange phones and use it as their own. Not that it mattered anyway, they were always together. They read it somewhere that it demonstrates trust, and shows that they have no secrets from each other. They were that weird.

"I wasn't even aware when you guys do that." She giggles playfully. "How are the both of you anyway?"

"We both miss you. It's just that we were used to having you that when you're gone, it's just sad," she says sadly.

"It's just the same for me here, Diana."

....

The gloom and homesickness that Diana's call brought in my mood quickly dissipated when I thought of the day tomorrow. I felt excitement coursing through me and the typical questions causing nervousness to also run havoc in my system.

Will I make new friends? Of course I will! It's college! Everyone's going to be looking for a friend.

I woke up with the same enthusiasm with the one I fell asleep with. I checked my phone to see that both Jayden and Diana had texted me their shares of good luck messages. I sent one to both of them since they were also starting their classes today.

We have no actual classes today. There would be just a Freshman Welcome Assembly and a bonfire at the large open area in the middle of the university. It would be very fun and exciting and tomorrow would consist of us going to our classes and the professors introducing themselves and the class they were going to teach, what to expect and all those stuff.
