That she doesn't want to

She's strong

Broken.
She's mysterious.
I can tell she's holding,
Bottling her feels in.
I can tell she's just...
Done.
I want to hold her.
To show her that someone
Does care.
That she has someone
There for her.
That she's
Not
Alone.
But she
Continues.
"I mean I don't blame my dad for beating me and getting drunk all the time."
I take a risk.
I wrap my left hand around her waist and pull her to me.
I'm a little surprised when she doesn't push me away and lays her head on my shoulder.
She's mysterious.
"I was so selfish that night. I should've been great-full that they went to work to get money and pay for my food, clothes, and put a roof over my head."
"No, Amunet. It wasn't your fault. You weren't being selfish. Your dad doesn't have a right to abuse you. It's not like you pushed her. It's the drivers fault."
She stays quiet for awhile
But then I realized that she's crying.
"Thank you, Alec"
She says while looking up at me.
'Now or never' I think before
Leaning down and kissing those soft lips of hers.
She surprises me again when
She moves her hand to cup my face then slides it into my hair at the back of my neck and tugs it.
She's mysterious.
