The Promise

I still keep my promise to my nature, to my birth.

 I am still faithful to the light that ignited within me,

 to the dream.

I desire nothing but to be in peace without anger or concern,

drunk and warm.

I strive not to let life weigh me down and for realism not to kill me.

When you asked me, "What do you desire from me?" I answered without hesitation, "I desire freedom with you."

The promise of freedom is a debt upon it.

I have nothing until the music,

 the color of beauty,

 and the shadow of longing take me away.

 This is me in front of all mirrors;

 I am no one else.

I shine like the star that heralds the purity of the sky.

Pour your time upon me,

for I never fear a day when its sun does not rise.
