Moments of Pain

She walked like a ghost wanting to cry,

Once again the thought crept up and she wanted to die.

It was a fleeting thought but it shook her to the core,

"It's gotten worse than it was before."

But her love was going to show that night,

Chasing her shadows and bestowing a light.

He was going to bring her happiness,

And she didn't have to feel constant sadness.

It's gotten worse and she became afraid,

Anxiety gripped at her throat and choked her air way.

Tears threatened to fall,

But today she held her head strong and tall.

Today was bitterly cold and nothing but rain,

She thought to herself "this feels like the girl and her poems of 'moments in pain'."

Then she thought to herself, "if only I had her problems that could be cured,

Only then could my demons be purred."
