     Summer closed her purple notebook and slid down the red slide. "Welcome to middle school, my lovelies~!" she told Siënna and Dante.

     Heather scoffed. "I guess some things just don't change," she grumbled to herself, rolling her dark brown eyes.

     Summer glared at Heather for a quick moment before going back to her announcement. "Anyways, welcome to middle school, my lovelies~!" she continued, "You're going to have a great time, I swear."

     Dante raised his hand. "Yeah, I've always wanted to know what middle school is like," he said.

     The rest of the girls, except for Siënna, stared at Dante with intense concentration as they all answered at the same time:

     Dante nodded at what the girls were saying while Siënna stared in skepticism at everyone, particularly at Cereza.

     "Wait, what's so bad about having to wear school uniforms?" Siënna asked Cereza.

     "First of all, they're ugly," Cereza argued, "Second, this is supposed to be America. The land of the free. Why do we have to wear school uniforms if America's supposed to be this free country?"

     "Yeah, I've always wondered about that," Summer commented, "Why do we have to wear school uniforms if America's supposed to be a free country?"

     "I don't know what America supposedly being a free country has to do with certain schools requiring uniforms," Siënna said, "Because it's not like every school in this country is making their students wear school uniforms." She sat down on the playground equipment and added, "Besides, I had to wear a school uniform in my home country Belgium, and Belgium's considered a pretty free country."
