We arrived at our new house few hours ago and while my parents were busy settling in and planning, I found myself a room cosy enough with a bed and laid on it, thinking about my friends back in Chicago when Bella's call comes in. 'talk of the devil.
"Heeeeeeyyyyy yooouuu", Bella says with a fake British high pitch voice.
"Hey", I can't help but reply back with a smile.
"Wait".....
"(Okay, that's strange)". I say
Them my other two friends face pops up in a video chat
"Hey girls", I greet
"How's LA", Leila asks
"Meet any boys?", Allison says wiggling her eyebrows.
"How big is the house?", Bella asks
"Calm down guys, I'm gonna answer all your questions one after the other".
" Then go ahead!!"
" Well LA's fine I guess", I say with a shrug
" You guess!!!"
" Yup"
" Okay let me get this straight, you haven't settled in, haven't seen or net any hot LA guys?"
" Leila, we just got here few hours ago and we haven't even fully settled in"
"That's not enough reason not to get a view" Ally says
" Or hot guys!"
" Okay Leila, what's your obsession with guys?"
"Hot guys", she replies with emphasis in the 'hot guys'
"Yeah right", I say with an eye roll
" Well promise to gist and call any time you can, all right?", Ally says
" I promise"
" Good"
" So guys hows Chicago?" I ask trying to lighten the mood
" Boring without you" Bella says whining
" Awwn, same here, how's Diego by the way? "
" They are taking a break", Ally says
"What!, Again!!!?"
" Same thimg we said when we heard"
" What happened this time?" I ask
" Nothing serious, we just think it's best for us to take a break and cool our head to be able to decide better, that's all", Leila says with a shrug
" Why not just call it quits?". I ask
" Said so! "
" It's probably for the best you guys just free yourself once and for all", I say
" I'll think about it"
" Désiré!!!" , Mom calls
" Seems like I have to go guys, talk to you later"
" All right, extend our greetings to your parents and Joe" Bella says with a wink
" Will do, love you guys"
"Same here, mwaah😘"
" Byeee"
" Byee", they all reply
I can't help but smile when I end the call, I'm so gonna miss them I say aloud before mom call jolts me back to life. "I'm coming".
I decide to explore LA as the girls suggested, well it can't be that bad can it?.
