I met him around the second week of the summer. It was at a small colony, not far from mine where I stayed at for the summer, for the first time ever. It really bothered me that the nearest shopping center was almost an hour away. Being there was like being in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Most people viewed me as a very high maintenance kid. Sorry I care about the way I present myself? I remember taking one for my random strolls through the colony that has the largest amount of kids in my age group. I was outside on the field playing football with my cousin. Riley was sitting with his friend. He probably didn't know how it felt to really feel something for someone. He was just another pretty boy, used to attention. He was such an asshole, but strangely I loved it.

         Flash Back

We were at my friends party. I didn't know him too well, but I knew his brother Dylan. I saw him with my friends hanging out once or twice, but I never had the confidence to introduce myself. I don't know why. I was never really a shy person, but I guess cute boys can take a toll on you. When I was at the party full of different activities I finally saw some of my friends from my neighborhood back from where I really live after the summer. Their colony was about an hour away from mine. I started talking to them and we walked around.

I didn't even know his name yet, but I saw him there. Every time I passed him I had butterflies. I didn't know why. I had friends from his colony.. just not him. They rented a banana boat for one of the activities. It was my first time going on one, but I saw my friends go before so I decided to go on too. I saw him there. I tried to ignore the butterflies but right when the boat driver who attached the rope from the banana boat to the speed boat started driving I fell off because he was right next to me. I was shaking. My friend asked me if I was okay and I said I was just cold. "But it's the middle of the summer!" she said. "Forget it Sheila!" I said in an annoyed way to her. He looked at me weird and I felt so stupid. My friends were trying to help me up, but my hands were slippery. I looked down at the fish in the lake and I felt a different hand touch mine. "Here, take my hand." he said. I looked right into his sparkling eyes as the natural sunlight shined through him like colored glass. "He smiled at me, making my face flush. His charm was a big factor to my attraction to him.
