Just The Beginning

From the moment the Saviors drove up to the gate of Alexandria everything was off.

To start Eugene was at the head of the saviors' calvery with a megaphone in hand stating that everyone inside of Alexandria will die if they continue with their stand against them. He ended with the statement; "I'm Negan."

After the initial shock wore off from being betrayed Rick motioned to Rosita to blow up the truck that's right outside of the wall next to Eugene. However, after she presses the button the truck never explodes. Which leads to more shock and disbelief.

Then before that shock wears off, the trash people turn their guns to the people of Alexandria. They had made a better deal with the Saviors than with Alexandria and a double cross was put into motion.

As it had turned out the Saviors were many steps ahead of Alexandria. Rick's plan that he had put together was shredded into pieces in mere seconds.

However, the people of Alexandria thought they could go through with the rest of the plan when a walker Sasha came crashing out of the casket Negan brought with him. She went for Negan first because he was closest and everything went further downhill.

While many garbage people were killed not many saviors were. In the end, the dead bodies on the ground were mostly Alexandrians. And with Rick being injured in the process of everything and being made to limp down the street at gunpoint, the people of Alexandria were indeed going to die just like Eugene had told them.

You, Jesus, Maggie, and Enid lead the people from Hilltop through the woods. About halfway to Alexandria, you see Shiva walking next to King Ezekiel on the road.

You leave the rest of your group and walk toward King Ezekiel. You get about halfway to them and step on a twig, leading Shiva to growl.

"(Y/N)?" You hear Ezekiel ask through the trees.

You walk the rest of the way to him and say, "Hi."

He greets you with a warm smile and then hugs you. "It is good to see you, wish it was under better circumstances, but still good."

Rick is made to kneel down beside his son as Negan walks closer to them. "Well, shit, Rick. You just couldn't stick with us, huh? You had to go with these filthy garbage people?" Jadis glares at him, "No offense-"

"Deal is for 12, yes?"

"10, people are a resource."

"12." She says bluntly, but from Negan's plain stare, she nods. "10." Then she walks away.

Negan chuckles to himself, "Oh, Rick, this is just gonna make you sad," Negan walks around Rick and Carl, "broken, you're gonna wish you were dead." Negan stops next to Carl. "I like having fun, I do. But maybe you think that the guy that did what he did to your friends wasn't me, like that was some sort of a put-on like I'm not the guy with the bat I'm just the guy that makes your kid spaghetti." Rick looks up at him with a glare. "Oh shit, maybe this is on me. Maybe this is all on me. And I gotta make it right. I guess I gotta start all over again. I gotta tell you, Rick, if I had a kid I'd want him to be just like your kid which makes this so much harder-"

"You're not gonna win." Carl says from his knees.

"Carl, it is over. Why don't you point your one ball up the street there and take it all in?" Negan smiles back down at him.

Both Rick and Carl both look up the street. They see their people on their knees with trash people and saviors walking around with guns. Then they hear and scream and see a person drop from the top of the building that Michonne was posted on. Carl goes still from disbelief and Rick almost keels over.

"Ooh," Negan chuckles, "Wow," Negan kneels infront of Rick, "you just lost somebody important to you right now - like just now." Rick looks away from him, "Jesus. That. Is. Timing." But with those words, Rick look back at Negan with eyes full of fury, "Well, Rick, you chose this. I truly don't know what more I could've done to warn you. And this isn't a warning, this is a punishment." Negan looks straight into Rick's eyes. "I'm gonna kill Carl now. I'm gonna make it one nice, hard swing, try to do it in one because I like him." A tear falls from Rick's eye, a helpless tear. "I want to put that in your brain and roll it around for a minute. I'm gonna kill Carl and then Lucille here, she's gonna take your hands-"

"You can do it right in front of me. You can take my hands. I've told you already-" Rick gets closer to Negan the angrier he gets, "-I'm gonna kill you. All of you. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but nothing is going to change that. Nothing." Rick gets even closer and whispers, "You're all already dead."

Negan holds in his anger until it comes out as a deranged laugh. "Damn. Wow, Rick. Okay." Negan stands back up and moves behind Carl, holding Lucille at the ready. "You said I could do i-"

*Roar* Shiva runs up and jumps on the guy next to Negan and starts ripping into his face. Negan's first instinct is to run but he stops when he sees you.

You run in with the people from Hilltop and the Kingdom and take down every Savior you see. You throw four of your knives, each of them hitting their marks. But when you get ready to throw your next one you lock eyes with Negan.

Lucille is down at his side and his shoulders are relaxed. The only thing you can read off of him is the confusion in his eyes.

"Negan!" Simon hollers from behind a nearby truck. "Negan let's go!"

Negan doesn't start moving until bullets are shot at his head. He dunks and starts moving towards Simon, looking in the direction the shots came from as he runs. He finds Daryl.

"(Y/N) you a'ight?" Daryl asks as he walks towards you. He had noticed you were frozen in place.

You just smile and nod at him then throw your knife to kill a Savior that was running towards Daryl. "Just looking out for you." You yell as a joke. 

In that moment Negan's confusion turns to anger. Just from that interaction, Negan knows why you have betrayed him. He huffs and turns to run out of Alexandria with Simon, but as he starts running he feels a sting on his arm. He turns to see one of your knives in the side of the truck inches away from him, then he looks back at you. You smirk at him before he grabs his now sliced arm and runs towards the open gate. 

You run up to the truck, pull your knife out, and follow after Negan. He stops behind a silver car on the side of the road and starts shooting, but he doesn't stay there for long before moving again. You move towards the silver car but you're stopped by a big man with long black hair that is pulled up into a ponytail. 

He grabs you, knocking your knife out of your hand, and slams you against the side of the car. Then he puts his AR up against your throat pushing your head back, trying to break your neck. However, he is stopped by Shiva who pounces on him, taking him down to the ground. You catch your breath as the man screams from underneath Shiva. When the screams from the man stop Shiva runs off. 

You search the ground for your knife. You end up with your hand covered in the man's blood, but find your knife after a while. However, as soon as you stand up and are ready to follow after Negan there is smoke in the air making it hard to see anything. 

"Dammit!" You yell and throw your knife into the head of the dead man on the ground. You had wanted to end this here. You didn't want Negan to go back to the Sanctuary and take his anger out on its people or your brother. You feel hot tears roll down your face as you slide down the side of the car and sit on the ground. "Dammit." You say again, resting your head on your knees.

Sorry for the long wait. Can anyone spell 'writer's block'? I promise the next chapter will be uploaded sooner than this one was and will be more of my own writing rather than scenes from the show.
