Kai'Jai.
I woke up to my alarm going off and I quickly turned it off careful not too wake Kilani. I got out of bed and checked the time 6:45am. I sighed amd hopped in the shower. I got out and put on my security uniform and my hares. I grabbed my belt with my gun and stuff on it and went downstairs quietly. I was making me a bowl of cereal when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I said pouring my milk.
"Hey baby!" I heard my mom yell
"Hey ma! Why you calling so early??" I asked sitting at the bar.
"I knew you would be up to go to work and I know you wont get home until like 5:30,6 right before dinner and I wanted to talk to you"
"Well I'm glad you called, I havent talked too you in a minute ma"
"Well maybe if my son called me sometimes" she sighed
"I know ma, I know. Ive just been caught up" I sighed
"Its okay Kai. So what time is dinner?" She asked
"Ummm 7 I think" I shrugged
"How do you not know?" She laughed
"Cause Kilani cooking dinner since I gotta work and she wants everything to be perfect" I chuckled.
"Ohhh this wonderful girl/girlfriend I've been hearing all about" She cheered
"Yes ma" I laughed
"Okay well I'll be there about 6:30. Tyla is coming with Jionni"
"Alright, I'll see you guys tonight."
"Okay Love you"
"Love you too ma" I smiled hanging up the phone. I finished my cereal and went upstairs and left a note for Kilani for when she woke up. I smiled kissing her forehead and headed off to work.

Kilani.
I woke up around 10 looking for Kai'Jai but remembered he had to work when I saw the note.
Hey baby. I didn't wanna wake you when I left, but my mom said she'll be here tonight around 6:30 and so will Tyla and Jionni. I just want to remind you don't stress over anything babygirl. It'll be fine. *muah*- your boyfriend.
I smiled folding the note up and setting it on the dresser. I hopped in the shower real quick and threw on some running shorts and a tank top. I threw my curls in a messy bun and slipped on my slides and left Kai'Jai's house. I decided to go see Jace and see if she wanted to go shopping with me.
"Hey boo!" She yelled pulling me inside the house.
"Hey JaceJace" I smiled hugging her.
"Hey Kilani" Khalil said coming down the stairs.
"Hey Khalil" I smiled giving him a quick hug.
"What you doing here?" Jace asked me
"Well I wanted too see if my bestfriend would go food shopping with me for this dinner at Kai'Jai tonight" I smiled
"Kai'Jai aint special" she laughed
"Well he is more than before now..." I mumbled
"What?! What did I miss?! Tell ya bestfriend!" Jace yelled.
"Were official now" I smiled
"Oh my gosh!!! Finally!!! Thats my bestfriend! Thats my bestfriend! Yas! You betta! You betta! Bestfriend wont you fuck it up!!" She yelled jumping on the couch.
"Jace get down before you fall!" Khalil yelled
"Ughh okay father" she groaned sitting down.
"You dumb" I said laughing at her.
"Aww im so excited for you two, but whats the special dinner for?" She asked
"Well at first it was just for Tyla and Jionni coming over his house for dinner because their formal is tomorrow" I said when she cut me off.
"Ha! I knew she had a boyfriend! Kai'Jai cock blocker ass!" She yelled
"Yeah she does" I laughed. "But I just found out last night his mom is comimg too. Im nervous as hell. My first time meeting her is gonna be at a dinner I cooked at Kai'Jai's house" I sighed
"Aww best you gonna be fine. Everyone loves you if you havent noticed." She smiled at me.
"Thanks JaceJace. But I gotta go shopping for dinner tonight and for food in his house. Cause his dumb self dont have no food" I laughed
"Okay I'll go if Masta Khalil lets me" She said rolling her eyes.
"You can go. Just be carfeul please. You carrying my child and you clumsy" He said coming out of the kitchen.
"Kay. Lemme go put some clothes on" She said jogging up the stairs. She came back down in some leggings and a t-shirt. "Kilani look! Can you tell im getting big! I gotta little pudge" She said standing at the stairs
"Yess! My baby is growing and closer to being here!" I smiled.
"My baby!!" Khalil yelled
"Shuddup Khalil! Kilani my babymomma!" Jace yelled
"Y'all gay!" He yelled
"Thank you!" I yelled laughing.
"My next appointment is the week after next too" she said grabbing her purse.
"Okie dokie. Maybe Khalil should go with you this time" I shrugged
"Yeah I know. I was just telling you, cause I knew you would ask" She laughed.
"You right, buh c'mon. Its 1:30 already" I laughed
"Kay! Bye baby!" Jace yelled to Khalil.
"Bye babymomma" Khalil said pecking Jace on the lips.
"Bye babydaddy" she smiled walking to my car.
"Bye Khalil! I'll bring BOTH of them back safely" I laughed.
"You better!" He yelled before closing the door. I laughed getting in the drivers seat and driving to the store. We got out and I grabbed a cart walking into the store with Jace beside me.
"What you gonna make?" She asked
"Umm well I was thinking marignated steak with rice and sweet peppers" I smiled
"Okay okay, do ya thang" Jace smiled. We walked around the stote picking up stuff for dinner and some extra stuff just too have.
"Jace did you--!" I yelled but stopped when I turned around and saw Kamia glaring at me. "Can I help you?" I snapped.
"Nah the question is can I help you? You all up in my shit" She snapped
"What shit??" I questioned
"My family! You made Gabe break up with me after 3 years of being together! He took my child away from me! I can't even get child support from that brat! And now I hear you watching her and shit!" She yelled
"Woah! Wait a minute! First of all! Gabe was never really yours! He was mine! You stole him from me with a baby! You dont even like nor love Sabrina! That little girl deserves the best! And thats Gabe! Not you! She's Gabe life and Gabe is hers! Your a hoe and will always be a hoe! You dont deserve shit!" I yelled
"You have no right too say anything! You dumb bitch! Thats why your boyfriend slept with me!" She yelled
"You dont even know who my boyfriend is or if I have one" I laughed
"Actually I do sweetheart. I saw Sabrina yesterday for about 15mins, not like I really wanted too but she wanted too see me but Im glad she did cause she told me all about your little boyfriend. Her big ass mouth. And I've seem pictures all over social media and remember people talk" She chuckled
"Well good for you. You've upgraded to a nosey/lurking ass hoe" I said clapping my hands.
"You dont believe me do you?" She laughed
"Truthfully nope I dont. I dont care about anything you have too say. Now please go away" I laughed shaking my head turning to walk away.
"You'll learn bitch! Im better than you! You'll see!" She yelled.
"Is that Kamia?!" Jace yelled coming back with a bunch of junk.
"Yes" I laughed at what she was craving.
"Ooo she lucky im pregnant or Id beat ha ass" she snapped as we put the stuff at the register.
"Relax" I laughed.
"Im so craving the weirdest stuff now" she mumbled
"I see. Cheetoes and hot sauce" I laughed
"Shiddd its good" she laughed as we walked out to the car. .We packed the bags in the car and drove to Kai'Jai's house.
"Thanks honeybuns" I said to Jace when we finished putting the stuff away.
"No problem, now take me home cause a bitch is tired" she yawned
"Okay c'mon preggers" I laughed. We talked and laughed on the way to her house like normal.
"Byeee my foreign mami!!" Jace yelled before going inside.
"Bye snowbunny!" I yelled pulling off. I sped home ready to get dinner started. I turned on some music and started cooking. I was putting the stirfrying the peppers when phone rang.
"Hello??" I answered stiring the food.
"Hey baby" I heard Kai'Jai voice.
"Heyyy" i sang.
"What you doing?" He asked
"Cooking dinner" I shrugged like he could see me.
"Oo what you making?"
"You'll see when you get here" I laughed
"Mane alright. I just called to check on you on my break. I should be home at 6 which is....3 hours"
"KayKay. Byeee"
"Bye babygirl" he said before hanging up. I set my phone down and took the steak I marignated and stuck it in the oven. I started peeling the potatoes for mahsed potatoes and boiled them. I decided to set the table now so it would be ready. About 2 hours later dinner was finally done. I smiled too myself and ran upstairs to jump in the shower. I washed and combed through my hair and put some new mosturizer I brought on it and put on my new grey dress. It was a tight fitting long sleeve dressin and fit in all the right places and a little longer in the front than the back. I put on some makeup and my studs to be classy. I was making last minute touches when I heard Kai'Jai coming upstairs.
"Hey baby. You look gorgeous" he smiled kissing me cheek.
"Thank you" I blushed
"Mhmm," he mumbled kissing my neck.
"No Kai'Jai. Get in the shower. Everyone should be here in an hour and a half" i said pushing him towrads the bathroom.
"Alright alright" he mumbled walking into the bathroom. I jogged downstairs and turned the oven and stove on to finish the food all the way. I jogged over to the table to make sure everything was set. I was fixing the couch and sweeping the floor when Kai'Jai came down dressed. He had on a white polo and his jacket sweater with some cargos and new sneakers.
"Kai'Jai!" I yelled
"What??" He asked looking around.
"What?! What are you wearing?!" I yelled shaking my head.
"Um clothes" he shrugged walking in the kitchen.
"No you gotta change. This is a dinner Kai'Jai" I sighed
"Relax Kilani. My mom knows when and when I dont get all dressed up" he said waving me off
"Kai'Jaiii its a dinner" I whined
"I understand Lani. Its okay" he said kissing my forehead.
"Alright alright. Finish sweeping the floor while I put finishing touches on dinner." I said handing him a broom. He nodded taking the broom and started sweeping the floor. Just as I finished the food the doorbell rang.
"Kai'Jai!!Can you get the door?!" I yelled running upstairs to get my shoes. I slipped on my heels as fast as I could and went downstairs too see this lady hugging Kai'Jai with the biggest smiled. I assumed she was his mom, she was beautiful.
"Ohhh my boyyy! I havent seem you in forever!" She yelled hugging Kai'Jai.
"I know ma I know." He chuckled.
"Wheres this fine lady I've been hearing about?" She smiled looking around.
"Ummmm...right here" Kai'Jai smiled walking over to me and taking my hand.
"Ma this is my girlfriend Kilani. Kilani this is my mom" Kai'Jai smiled introducing us.
"Hello Ms.Thomas" I smiled sticking my hand out.
"Chileee dont call me Ms.Thomas. You family, call me Helen or Ma or whatever. And we do hugs in this family" she laughed pulling me into a hug.
"Sorry" I smiled pulling away from the hug.
"Nothing to be sorry about hun." She smiled walking into the house. "Oo it smells good in here" she smiled
"Thank you" I smiled
"So Kilani come sit and talk with me" she smiled patting the couch beside her. I took my seat and waited for her to speak. "How old are you hun? You look young" she laughed lightly
"Im 21" I laughed
"Oo you still a baby. Live your life to fullest is the advice I have for you" she nodded
"Thank you" I smiled
"Lemme ask you a question" she said moving closer to me. I nodded waiting for her to speak. "What you see in my knuckleheaded child" she laughed quietly.
"Ma! I hear you!" Kai'Jai yelled from the kitchen.
"Stay outta ladies business!" She yelled laughing.
"Well I see a lot in Kai'Jai. Ive had a rough past and he was the first guy to ever make me feel needed and special since then" I laughed
"Well thats good he finally grew up" she smiled. We talked some more getting to know each other when the doorbell rang. I got up to answer it to see Tyla and Jionni.
"Heyy Kilani!" Tyla yelled giving me a hug.
"Hey TyTy you look cute. Hey Jionni" I smiled letting them in.
"Hey ma" Tyla smiled hugging Helen.
"Hello Ms.Helen" Jionni smiled politely.
"Hey Jionni" she smiled giving him a hug.
"Where is my big brother?!" Tyla yelled walking around the couch. Kai'Jai laughed coming out the kitchen. "Kaiiii!" Tyla yelled jumping on him.
"Hey Ty" he laughed holding her up
"They've always hugged like that" Helen smiled at them.
"Thats because I love my big brother" Tyla smiled getting down.
"And I love you too little sister" Kai'Jai smiled. Sometimes they made me wish I had a sibling. "Hey G" Kai'Jai said dapping up Jionni.
"Hey" He nodded back.
"Um ma'am" Kai'Jai said tapping Tyla
"Um sir?" Tyla mocked.
"Where are your clothes? And what is this?" Kai'Jai said pulling at her crop top and bellybuttom ring.
"Well my clothes are on and this is my bellybuttom ring. Like?" She smiled
"No I dont like. Imma need you to take it out"
"But I like it" she pouted
"I dont really care" he laughed
"Ma! Kai'Jai bothering me!!" Tyla yelled
"Kai'Jai leave her alone" Helen laughed
"Ma she got jewelry in her stomach." Kai'Jai said with a straight face.
"I know this Kai'Jai. I let her" Helen shrugged.
"Y'all dont ask me if y'all can do anything" Kai'Jai rolled his eyes.
"Cause Im her mother" Helen laughed. Me and Jionni were just laughing at the whole scene.
"Are you guys ready for dinner?" I finally asked.
"Yes! I am! I dont know bou them!" Kai'Jai yelled.
"Relax" I laughed walking into the kitchen to heat up the food and make plates. "Dinner's ready" I smiled walking into the living room. They followed me to the table and sat down. I sat beside Kai'Jai and Tyla sat beside Jionni while Helen sat at the head of the table.
"This looks and smells delicious Kilani" Helen smiled
"Thank you" I smiled
"Oh shoot! Lemme find out Kilani can cook" Tyla laughed
"Dont play my baby can cook" Kai'Jai smiled kissing my cheek.
"No PDA at the table" Tyla laughed
"And no DA for you at all" Kai'Jai chuckled
"DA?" I asked
"Display of Affection" he laughed
"Ohhhh" I giggled
"Okay c'mon lets eat cause im hungry" Helen spoke up. We said grace and dug in.
"Mmm this is good" Jionni mumbled along with everyone else. We were finished eating and were just sitting at the table talking.
"That was good babe. Thank you" Kai'Jai said giving me a quick peck
"Your welcome" I blushed
"Child imma need you too cook for me more often" Helen smiled
"Anytime" I shrugged
"Kilani are you still taking me to get pampered tomorrow?" Tyla asked
"Uh yeah of course" I said in a duh tone. She smiled at me and started talking to Jionni.
"Kilani I needa know where you shop cause you rocking that outfit" Helen laughed
"I shop everywhere" I shrugged laughing
"Shoot we needa go on a shopping trip sometime" She laughed.
"Im dowm anytime" I laughed
"Y'all tryna steal my girlfriend from me" Kai'Jai pouted
"Never babe" I smiled kissing his cheek.
"Awh you guys are perfect" Helen cooed.
"I know" Kai'Jai smirked
"Boyy boy. You lucky to have someone like Kilani. Shes perfect alone" Helen smiled
"Thank you" I smiled
"I know. And she'll forever be mine" Kai'Jai said hugging me.
"She betta" Helen shot. We talked for about an hour after dinner and everyone decided to leave since it was getting late. Kai'Jai said he would clean the kitchen while I got ready for bed, I was exhausted, I put on some shorts and a tank top and laid down on the bed.
"Baby" Kai'Jai mumbled coming in the room.
"Hmm?" I amswered half sleep.
"Thank you" He said kissing my forehead
"No problem" I smiled closing my eyes. I felt the bed dip and arms wrap around my waist. I smiled and drifted off too sleep.
