Chapter 6

Kilani.
"Jace wake up!" I yelled
"Ugh bitch im up" she groaned opening her eyes.
"Im getting in the shower" i said walking into the bathroom. I did what i had to do and got out. I got dressed in the batroom and put on my overall shorts and a pineapple crop top. I wet my hair real quick and put on my studs and a bracelet. I walked out the bathroom too see Jace dressed. She had on a black flowy skirt and plain white tank top. I guess she was embracing her body before she got really big.
"Ready?" She asked me
"Yeah are you?" I asked smiling
"Yep" she sighed. We walked to my car and I sped off to her doctors.
"Jace Scott?" A nurse called Jace. I smiled at hera reassured her to come on. We walked to the back and the nurse took her weight and height and all that stuff and said the doctor will be in soon.
"Kilani Im nervous. Today I'll actually KNOW and SEE i have a person growing inside me." She sighed
"Its okay Jace. Youll be a great mom" I smiled. She smiled back lightly just as yhe doctor walked in.
"Hello you must be Jace. Im Dr.Howard" The doctor said putting hand sanitizer on.
"Hi this is my bestfriend Kilani" Jace said introducing me.
"Hello" I smiled shaking her hand
"Hello Kilani" she smiled back
"So Jace you pregnant congrats!" She said excited
"Thank you" Jace smiled
"So Im gonna give you an ultrasound to see how far along you really are" She smiled. She hooked up the machine and Jace lifted up her shirt some more and she started moving around. "Woah" Dr.Howard said shocked.
"What??" Jace asked with worry all over her face.
"Your a lot farther then you thought" she laughed
"Huh? How far am I?" Jace asked
"3 months honey. You havent been experiencing anything different?" The doctor asked
"Well yeah Ive been using the bathroom a lot more, and my boobs have ben hurting a lottle but amd growing and my clothes are getting a little tight" Jace shrugged
"Honey those are signs leading up to 3 months. Your just not big yet" the doctor smiled
"Oh wow." Jace mumbled shocked
"So shes 3 months exactly today?" I asked
"Yep. Look theres the baby" Dr.Howard smiled moving around on her stomach. It was small but you could tell something was growing there. I looked over at Jace too see her teary eyed and smiling. Im guessing it was really coming to her she was gonna have a baby. I smiled and walked over to her wiping her face.
"Im gonna give you some prenatel vitamins since your kinda behind. But congrats to you again. Ill see you again next month" the doctor smiled
"Thank you" Jace smiled
"No problem sweetie" she said walking out.
"Awhh Jaceee" I cooed helping her sit up
"I know, I have baby fever" she smiled
"Me too" I smiled
"Here ya go." A nurse said coming in and giving Jace her vitamins.
"Come on my snowbunny. We going out to eat" I smiled
"Yes! Im starving!" She yelled
"Mhm bet" I laughed getting in the car. We drove to Cheddars and got a table right away.
"Im getting a giany cheeseburger and onion rings and a coke" Jace smiled
"Of course, im getting...the same" i laughed. We talked and laughed when the waiter took our order and we waited for our food.
"Girlll im--" Jace started but was cut off by a known voice.
"Hey Lani, hey Jace" Gabe smiled coming up to me smilinh with Sabrina.
"Hey Gabe. Hey Brina!" I smiled
"Hiiii!"'she yelled jumping into my arms
"Hey Gabe, nice to see you again" Jace smiled side eyeing him
"Im guessing you told her" Gabe laughed
"Of course I tell her everything" i smiled playing with Sabrina.
"You wanna sit with us?" Jace asked
"Sure" Gabe smiled sitting beside me
"Sabrina this is my bestfriend Jace. Shes having a baby soon, you wana show her what it feels like to have a kid?"'i smiled at Sabrina
"Yes! Hewo!" Sabrina smiled sitting beside Jace. They talked while me and Gabe talked.
"You guys ate already?" I asked Gabe,
"Yeah...we just came from seeing her mom." He sighed
"How was it?" I mumbled
"Not that good. I wish I could just stop her from seeing Sabrina all together, but im working on it" he sighed
"You really Adore her dont you?" I asked smiling
"Yeah...shes my babygirl forever" he smiled looking at Sabrina talk to Jace.
"Awhh" I smiled
"Yeah I just wish I didnt have to deal with her mother or she didnt either. She doesnt give a fuck abour Brina all she wanna do is hoe around" he sighed
"....whos her mom?" I mumbled
"Do you remember Kamia?" He asked. Of course I remembered Kamia. She had always liked Gabe and tried to steal him from me and I guess she finally succeded and held him with a baby.
"Yeah" I mumbled feeling hurt again.
"Yeah. Im sorry Kilani. I cant tell you how sorry I am over and over again." He sighed
"Its okay" i smiled
"Daddy!! I wike Jace and Kiwani!" She yelled excited
"Thats great princess" he smiled
"Im in love with this little girl!" Jace cooed pinching her cheeks.
"Me too" Gabe laughed.
"Daddy. Im sweepy" Sabrina mumbled
"Okay come on baby. They should be getting their food soon anyways" Gabe said picking her up
"Bye Brina!" I smiled
"Bye Sabrina!" Jace yelled
"Bye bye" Sabrina smiled
"Bye Jace. Bye Kilani text me" Gabe smiled before leaving.
"Awhh now I really have baby fever. I cant wait till my baby gets here" Jace smiled eating her food.
"I know me too. But you've only seen the good part" I said before biting into my burger
"I know, but im still ready" She smiled. We ate our food and talked some then went back to Jace house.
"Jace" I said plopping down on the couch.
"Wassup?" She asked eating some chips
"Your 3 months today right?" I said thinking
"Yeah so?"
"When did you go out that night?" I asked
"Um the last friday of last month" she mumbled
"Ans your 3 months" I mumbled
"Yes Kilani!" She yelled. She obviosuly wasnt catching on.
"Jace! Khalil is your babydaddy! Your 3 months! Yall live together! There is no way someone else can be this babiea father! Your 3 months not one! I know you havent gotten your period you just havent put 2 and 2 togther"
"OH MY GOD! Khalil is the father!" She yelled jumping up off the couch. She had a big smile on her face and tears of happiness.
"You have to tell him" I mumbled
"What?! No! He left me and this baby! Thats his fault and he disrepected me! And HIS baby! How can I forgive him like that?! He was out of line! He cheated too!" She yelled
"I understand that Jace, but this is his baby too. He deserves the right to know Jace." I sighed
"Okay Kilani. I'll tell him when the times right" she mumbled
"Okay Jace, I gotta get going I have to work tomorrow. Take it easy love you" I smiled
"I love you too" she smiled. I hopped in my car and drove home. I pulled up to my house hot and tired and trudged inside. I was walking up the stairs when the doorbell rang.
"Ughhh!" I groaned walking back down the stairs. I opened the door too see Khalil and Kai'Jai standing there. I glared at Khalil and side-eyed Kai'Jai.
"Hey Lani" Kai'Jai smiled lightly
"Wassup" Khalil nodded
"What?" I snapped
"Khalil wants to talk to you bae" Kai'Jai mumbled
"Talk to me about what?" I snapped
"Look Kilani can we just talk" he sighed
"I think you need to be talking to Jace first" I spat
"She doesnt wanna see me" he mumbled
"And makes you think i do!" I yelled
"Look Kilani im sorry for everything...." He mumbled
"YOU can come in. Khalil YOU stay out here" I said pulling Kai'Jai inside
"Why Kai'Jai??" I groaned
"He really wants to make things better. Give him a chance just like you did me." He sighed
"Whatever I'm calling Jace" I said taking out my phone and calling her Jace.
"Jace!" I yelled into the phone
"What hoe?!" She yelled
"You needa come over now. Its important" I mumbled
"Alright Im coming" she sighed and hung up. I glared lightly at Kai'Jai and he kissed me cheek.
"Come in" I mumbled to Khalil. He sat on the couch with Kai'Jai while I waited for Jace.
"Lani what--" Jace stopped coming inside. "WHY IS HE HERE?!?!" She yelled pointing to Khalil
"He wants to make things better Jace. You dont have to accept him in your life just hear him out like I did Kai'Jai and Gabe. And you know how hard it was for me with Gabe" I mumbled
"Jace please just listen..." Khalil sighed
"I dont wanna hear what you have to say!" Jace yelled.
"Jace I--" he started
"NO! YOU DISREPECTED ME AND MY BABY!! YOU SAID YOU HATED ME!! YOU WERE JUST AS MUCH IN THE WRONG AS I WAS! HOW COULD YOU?! WE WERE TOGETHER FOR YEARS KHALIL! YEARS! I DIDNT THINK WE WOULD END LIKE THIS! I THOUGHT WE COULD WORK OUT ANYTHING BUT YOU PROVED ME WRONG!" Jace yelled crying
"Jace relax" I said rubbing her back
"I know baby I'm sorry! I regret it! I love you Jace with everything in me! I love you Jace i always will! I didnt mean what i said! Im sorry I cheated! Jace Mekiyah Scott please forgive me baby. Im so sorry!" Khalil said getting on his knees with tears in his eyes.
"Khalil its just not that easy to forgive. You dispected me and your baby" Jace cried silently. Kai'Jai's eye shot over to me and I gave him a light smile.
"Wait. My baby?" Khalil said wiping his eyes.
"Yes Khalil YOUR baby. Im 3 months today, I just havent realized the signs and im not that big." Jace sniffed
"Baby Im so sorry. I didnt mean what I said at all. I love you and this baby, no matter if it was mine or not. Im glad its mine babe" Khalil smiled lightly standing up.
"Im happy its yours too Khalil, Im happy no matter who my baby daddy is" Jace smiled
"Jace please forgive me. I wanna be in your life always. I wanna be in this babies life always" Khalil sighed. Jace nodded silently smiling. "I love you so much!" Khalil yelled picking her up and spinning her around.
"I love you too babe" Jace smiled. Im glad everyone was happy now and Jace could stop stressing.
"Im gonna have a baby" Khalil mumbled smiling at Jace.
"Yes we are" Jace smiled kissing his cheek?
"I cant wait till we end up like that" Kai'Jai mumbled hugging me from behind.
"Maybe one day" I smiled up at him.
"You gotta work tomorrow?" Jace asked
"Yeah" I sighed
"What about you Kai'Jai?" Khalil asked
"Yeah man." Kai'Jai groaned. He was a security guard and worked at different places almost everyday.
"Y'all always working" Jace smacked her teeth
"Cause we like to make money Jace" I laughed "you go to an online school and they give you money for i dont know what. So you dont have to work and Khalil makes enough money with Kai'Jai as security"
"You right you right. I mean if Kai'Jai make more than enough why you working?" She asked
"Cause you know I like to provide for myself Jace" I sighed
"Alright Kilani Imma leave you alone" She laughed.
"We should get going tho. I gotta work in the morning" Khalil said grabbing Jace hand. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Bye love birds" I laughed walking them out
"Bye boo!" She yelled
"She you tomorrow bro!" Khalil yelled
"Alright!" Kai'Jai yelled closing the door.
"Kai'Kai" I whined.
"Wassup Mami?" He said pulling me down on the couch with him.
"I dont wanna go to work tomorrow" I whined laying on his chest.
"Me either mama" he sighed
"You should stay home with me Papi"
"I wished bae I wish" he smiled kissing my forehead.
"Ughh forreal Kai" I groaned
"Lani you know I cant. I just had a week off" he sighed
"Fine. Im going to bed. You should get home for work" I mumbled getting up
"C'mere" he said grabbing my arm and pulling me to him.
"I'll see you tomorrow night. I have Tuesday off so I'll stay night" he mumbled smiling
"Okay" I smiled lightly
"Goodnight you big baby" he laughed kissing my cheek.
"Shuddup. Byeee" I sang closing the door after he pulled out the driveway. I smiled and went upstairs and went to bed.
