Cut to Daytime Int.
Robin and Melissa walk up to his apartment. Melissa is carrying a backpack. It looks like Robin is babysitting Melissa while her parents are working in the bakery. During the walk, they talk about Melissa's school life.
Once Melissa got in, she immediately goes for Robin's trumpet.
Robin: Mel, not the trumpet. You can play with the bongos. I need to record my music today.
Melissa pouts but goes ahead to the bongos.
Robin enters his recording room. He turns on his laptop and we see the last time he was on the internet was on social media. He has a hundred or so followers and his last post is he is going live on a certain date which is and time which is already right now. He closes the page.
He then opens a music, a livestreaming software and a website for livestreaming like Twitch or YouTube. In a matter of minutes he goes live and there are already about 20, more or less, listeners/fans waiting for him in the chat room.
Robin (to his mic, talking to his fans): What's up in the interwebs? (pause) Thanks! Hey, Janet! Thanks for subscribing. (Pause) what am I? I'm just a dude writing music on this platform. Okay here's one, hope you enjoy this. (pause) What, you can't hear it? Sorry, I'm still a noob on this one. Yeah, she's gone, huh? Alex, you think you watched me play piano in a Lilly Lopez concert? Yeah, guilty, that's me. Thanks for subscribing. Yeah, she's real....nice. Oooh! Beautiful singles near your area! We got a bot, people!!
An hour has passed
Robin: I gave my niece apple slices. 30 minutes ago, I checked she was coloring (pause) yeah, it's a struggle juggling work and child rearing. No, I don't plan to be a parent anytime soon but I do love my brother's kid. Alright, what was I gonna do? Right, sing the chorus to this.
(pop-y, slow, techno) "I won't back down, I won't give inI'll fight for what's right, I won't let them winThey think they can bring me down, but they're wrongI'll rise above it all, and stay strong"
We can hear Melissa cheering for him behind the door
Robin: Oh, I have an in-person live fan here in the studio? Can you guys hear her? Probably not.
CU: Screen shows the name Ocean, who just subscribed, and asking Robin when's his concert?
Robin: Concert? Also, thanks Ocean for subscribing. Don't know yet. If you guys keep watching and sharing my work and livestreams and we get more traction, so yeah that's when I get my first concert, how bout that?
CU: Screen shows Ocean's reply: "Roger that. BTW, new fan here. :-)"
Cut to Robin smiling at the message.
Cut to screen showing Robin's back to the camera and showing the rest of his recording studio.
Robin: Thanks. Yeah, just keep sharing the good word...
