It was a normal Tuesday morning for the Cooper family. Mary could be found in the kitchen making both breakfast and lunch for her children and husband, while everyone else struggled to get ready. Sheldon was once again looking for his bow tie that he knew he didn't misplace, and Missy sat back and watched in amusement as she also insulted his everyday look. On the other hand, Georgie and George were in a screaming match with each other one the bathroom. You see, Georgie was doing his hair (and you know that takes a hot minute), but George was over patiently waiting for his son."Boy, you've been in there for over 15 minutes. If you don't get your buy out here-" George said before being interrupted by his son. "Relax dad. I'll be out in a minute." George groaned at Georgie's words before he was once again knocking at the door.Mary would've helped the situation, but theirs was everyday. If Mary stopped to help her family everyday, there would never be any time to get breakfast and lunch finished. But something else held up Mary's morning. Something new.Ding! Dong!It was interesting because no one ever came to their house I'm the morning, on a school day. Mary was quick to walk over to the door. She opened the door to see Y/N Y/L/N standing there with that sweet and innocent smile on her face and a covered pan of what smelt to be cookies."Hello Mrs.cooper!" The girl kindly said as her smile grew slightly larger."Hello- Y/N was it?" Mary asked the girl. She nodded her head, continuing to smile.

Mary looked at Y/N with a quizzical expression on her face. She had never met this girl before, and she couldn't help but wonder why she was standing at her doorstep with a pan of cookies.

"Can I help you with something, dear?" Mary asked, trying to hide her confusion.

"Yes, actually. I wanted to drop off these cookies for Georgie. I know he loves chocolate chip cookies, and I made a batch last night, so I thought I'd bring some over for him," Y/N explained, holding out the pan of cookies for Mary to take.

Mary smiled at the girl's thoughtfulness. "Well, that's very sweet of you, Y/N. Georgie is in the bathroom at the moment, but I'm sure he'll be thrilled when he sees these. Would you like to come in and wait for him?"

Y/N's face lit up at the invitation. "Thank you so much, Mrs. Cooper. That's very kind of you."

Mary led Y/N into the kitchen and offered her a seat at the table. She couldn't help but notice how well-mannered and polite the girl was, and she found herself curious about her.

"So, Y/N, do you go to school with Georgie and Missy?" Mary asked, pouring herself a cup of coffee.

Y/N nodded. "Yes, ma'am. I'm in Georgie's class."

Mary smiled. "Well, it's nice to see that there are still polite and kind young people out there. You seem like a very sweet girl, Y/N."

Y/N blushed at the compliment. "Thank you, Mrs. Cooper. That means a lot to me."

As they chatted, they could hear the sound of Georgie and George bickering in the bathroom, and Missy and Sheldon arguing over Sheldon's bowtie. But for the moment, Mary and Y/N were lost in their own conversation, enjoying each other's company over a cup of coffee and a fresh batch of cookies.

As Mary and Y/N continued their conversation, Georgie finally emerged from the bathroom, freshly groomed and looking presentable. He was surprised to see Y/N sitting at the kitchen table, and even more surprised to see the pan of chocolate chip cookies in front of her.

"Hey, Y/N. What are you doing here?" Georgie asked, a smile creeping onto his face as he approached the table.

Y/N stood up, holding out the pan of cookies towards Georgie. "I made these for you. I know you love chocolate chip cookies."

Georgie's smile grew wider as he took the pan from her. "Thanks, Y/N. You didn't have to do that."

Y/N shrugged. "I wanted to. Besides, it's not every day you get homemade cookies, right?"

Georgie laughed. "Yeah, you're right about that."

As the two of them chatted and shared cookies, Mary couldn't help but notice the way Georgie was looking at Y/N. It was a look she had never seen before - a mix of curiosity, admiration, and something else she couldn't quite put her finger on.

After a few minutes, Y/N gathered her things and prepared to leave. Georgie walked her to the door, thanking her again for the cookies.

"You know, Y/N, I was thinking...if you're not busy this weekend, maybe we could hang out or something?" Georgie asked nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.

Y/N's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "I'd love to, Georgie. That sounds like fun."

As Y/N walked away, Georgie couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for what the weekend would bring. Mary watched him with a smile on her face, happy to see her son connecting with someone who seemed to bring out the best in him.
