Chapter 37: A Promise

Y/N's P.O.V

I walk slowly through the Death Star while carrying my brother.

We walk through and see Stormtroopers and officers are trying to escape the Death Star before it blows.

I can feel the whole station shaking.

Anakin and I make it to the hanger bay.

He then falls to the floor in pain.

Y/N: Come on, Anakin. I'm gonna get you out of here.

I end up dragging him over to a nearby shuttle.

I lay Anakin on ramp of the shuttle.

Anakin: Y/N... wait... Y/N... help me take this mask on.

Y/N: But you'll die.

Anakin: Nothing can stop that now. I just want to look on you with my own eyes... one last time.

I nod.

I then take off the top of his helmet and it hisses as the air comes out.

After that I pull the mask off and see Anakin's real face.

He smiles as he looks at me.

Anakin: Y/N, I need you to do something for me. I... have a son out there.

Y/N: I know, Anakin. I know.

Anakin: Good. Y/N, promise me... promise me you'll train him. Pass on what you have learned.

I nod as I feel tears build in my eyes. 

Y/N: I will. I promise.

He smiles.

Anakin: Good. Now go, little brother. Leave me.

Y/N: No, I'm not leaving. I've got to save you.

Anakin: You already have, Y/N.

He puts his hand on my shoulder to lift himself up.

Anakin: You were right. You were right about me.

He starts to tear up.

Anakin: When you find him, tell my son... you were right.

He then smiles.

After that, Anakin gently falls back on the ramp and closes his eyes.

I start crying.

Y/N: Anakin, please... don't go.... I won't leave you.

And with that, my brother, Anakin Skywalker is dead.

I lower my head and cry.

I just got my brother back, then I lost him again.

I once again lost the brother I never knew.

After taking a second to grive before bringing my brother's body onto the shuttle.

I take off and fly the shuttle out of the Death Star as it starts to come apart.

When I fly out I see the Rebel Alliance ships flying away from the Death Star. A second later thr Death Star blows up. Again.

Just then I get a transmission come through.

It's Wedge.

Wedge: Imperial shuttle, I have you on my scope. Who is this?

Y/N: This is General Skywalker. All Alliance ships cease fire. I'm a friendly.

Wedge: Understood. Good to see you, General.
