Part - 17 The Situation gets worse

She definitely looked nervous, like she had been caught without something.

"Put your hands up!" One of the sailors said, pointing his rifle's gun barrel closer,

She slowly put her hands in the air,

"Follow me!" Oels said in a booming voice, and trying to motion to her to move along

The woman got a strange expression on her face,

"MOVE! NOW!" A sailor yelled, tipping the back of her head with the rifle barrel,

That seemed to get the message across.

And she tried moving along,

"Come on! Move!" The sailor yelled,

"Quiet!" Oels shouted,

"Don't stop operations on the ship because of this, get her to the brig!" Oels said.

"Where are you going sir?" The sailor said.

"That is none of your concern" Oels said.

Oels was going to head to the bridge to report this incident to the captain.

Along the way, he spotted a sailor, who was looking at him like he had just seen a ghost.

A little strange, but nothing out of the ordinary in comparison to the events of recent.

————————

Daniel stared as the XO walked by, almost paralyzed.

Those men had just yanked Bismarck away, likely down to the brig, or god knows where in that huge labyrinth.

That cannon he helped her shoot was the reason she likely got spotted,

He felt guilt, really bad guilt,

But that was the XO, and those men were armed, he couldn't really do anything.

He was kind of out of ideas.

He really thought about going after her, because she was the only person here he was somewhat familiar with, and even though she seemed stoic, she felt friendly enough,

It might be a stretch, but she could probably be considered a friend, a very far away one though, not like Fritz.

self-preservation instincts were all blaring to not go after her,

However, he then heard something.

*klunk

A small clanking sound on the side of the ship,

*klank!

Daniel looked over the side, in an almost vain attempt to see what was making the noise

Only to be surprised that it was in fact, someone trying to climb up the side of the ship, from the water,

As in, they were moving on water, like those girls earlier.

He concentrated his vision even more,

It was actually one of those girls from earlier,

It was actually one of those girls from earlier,

One of the machine bits sticking off of her back was sparking and damaged, and it seemed to have an affect on her ability to move and control herself,

The girl looked upwards, staring holes in his eyes,

He stared downwards,

She shouted at the top of her lungs,

"What did you do to Bismarck!?" She seemed to shout, her voice being drowned out by the distance between the deck and wherever that girl was standing.

Did she say Bismarck?

"What do you mean?!" Daniel responded, shouting back downwards.

"You know very well what I mean!" The girl shouted back defiantly

Daniel couldn't help but be even more confused for just about the billionth time today.

*klunk!

There that girl went, trying to climb up, yet again.

"What do you want with Bismarck!" Daniel shouted down.

"What do I want? Let her go!" The girl shouted, the ever growing defiance in her voice getting stronger.

But then Daniel realized that he was wearing a Kriegsmarine uniform, and those sailors were Kreigsmarine,

She was mistaking him for an enemy.

"I don't know what's going to happe—" Daniel began.

And then, all of a sudden,

*kaching!

The girl jumped, and boosted her jump by placing her foot on the hull side, and making it all the way to the side railings, only gripping on by one hand,

The wind whipped at her, and the water splashed her violently as the battleship sped through the harsh Atlantic waters.

"H-hey! C-Can you help me up?" The girl said, her voice shaking as she hung off the side.

"What stops you from killing me?" Daniel said, noticing the machines attached to her

The girl didn't have a response, she just sat there dangling.

It looked like she would be pleading for help, but she didn't seem to have the energy to do so.

But, what would happen if Daniel did rescue her,

Could he be found out and killed?

Would she kill him?

Daniel just huffed as the girl looked like she was about to give way.

And then he snatched her by the wrist.

Even though Daniel wasn't the biggest or strongest kid at school, he could do his fair share.

He yanked her up, with some effort.

And no sooner did he do that, then a huge wave came by, smashing against the side of the ship.

Surely she would've been knocked off.

Daniel took another peer at the machines on her back,

They looked like guns, but the barrels were bent and ripped open,

And she was shivering wet, and hurt it seemed.

But she seemed to be drying up fast,

"Uh, t-thank you...." The girl said.

"Uh, you're welcome...." Daniel said.

The red cube started glowing in his pocket again, shining through the layers of clothing on top of it.

The girl's eyes went wide,

"A red wisdom cube? I never saw one of those before!" The girl said, her eyes lowering to needle points.

Wisdom cube?

Wasn't that the exact same term Bismarck used?

Was this a coincidence?

Or was there something more to it?
