Hey! So I said in the last entry something about the four cities and their past. I thought I would do a brief history of Doodlidia's cities now, because we will all forget about it if I don't do it soon. Here we go...

There are four main cities on the mainland and one big one on Digitain Island, Highlighting, but we're going to forget about that one for now.

The four cities are called Doodling, Crayonsly, Lidcap and Brush. They each have an art supply to represent them, and you can figure out which goes with each city. Anyways, back when Stickmen were a bit more developed than cavemen, like really early medieval, they all lived in one big settlement. Stickmen can be made up of paint, pencil lines, pen ink or crayon lines.

There tended to be a lot of friction between the different arts (that's the name of the categories.

The arts fought over the cupcake)
In the end the paint stickmen decided they were the superior art and tried to throw the others out of the city. There was a huge war (it was called the War of Doodlidia) with hundreds of deaths. The pen Stickmen sided with the paint, and the pencils and crayons were furious with them. The armies fought with swords made of rubber so they could slice the enemy in half, or really however they wanted to slice them. Slowly the population dropped as the war raged, and on the 154th year of fighting there was a truce, ending it all as they finally realised they would end up making each other extinct. But the arts had drifted apart, and that is why the cities are positioned nearer to the other city they fought along side with. There are actually some amazing war stories written by stick people descended from war heroes, such as 'As my Sword Sings' by Benedict Thompson and 'Ouch. My face got rubbed out' by Rebecca Sharpenershave.

During all of this a group of Stickmen rose up and stood for peace, but were thrown out of Doodlidia. They inhabited Digitain and founded Highlighting, and the city motto is 'punchies number quietness' which translates to 'fight for peace'. if you think about it it doesn't really make sense. They were smart though, and were first to invent stuff like the kettle. They have never had civil wars with each other, unlike Lidcap, (which fifty years after the War of Doodlidia had a huge feud. The sorted it pretty quickly, but not before twenty six peeps were killed...) and this kind of means they are awesome. There's a bit of history on the Doodladian cities, and I'm pretty sure I got the facts right. Bye!
