lately i've only
had one real friend
everyone else
has drifted away
and become lost
in the back of my mind
my friends
from fifth grade
seem to be
jumbled
in one big clump,
breaking apart
and leaving my brain
and she
and i
we're so close
until we weren't
together
for the one
class we had
together
but they're
still here
and they still
get to hear my
every thought
and feeling
but
what happens
when they venture
to the back of
my mind,
as well?
