I felt the vines climb their way
Up my legs and towards my face
Consuming every inch of me
Threading through my hair
And in my ears
And to my brain
Taking over my thoughts
My actions
My words
Making sure I can't go a day
Without thinking that I'm insane
And they told me I'll survive
I'm only a child,
It's not a big deal
But it's not just a vine
It's poison ivy
It affects me more
I won't survive
I can't survive
And there's nothing I can do
Until the effects wear off
And leave my mind
And the vines leave my sight
And you're gone from my life
