Nope

I woke up suddenly hot and sweaty, so I glanced at Wyatt and quickly made my way to the bathroom. I showered and snuck into his closet and snatched a tshirt and looked for bottoms but only found basketball shorts. Oh god, I didn't want to wear pants so I had to work with what I had. I looked like a such a boy. I took a mirror photo and sent it to Lucy.

I made my way downstairs and started a batch of coffee and made myself a bowl of cereal. I had to get going so I washed my dish and found my clothes and headed to say goodbye to Wyatt. He was still asleep so I wrote him a note and headed out.

The Uber arrived as I got a message from Lucy

Lucy🐞: excellent style. Love the Jorts 🤭
Me: they're basketball shorts!
Lucy 🐞: they're atrocious
Me: I know, it's all he had and I didn't want to walk around naked
Lucy🐞: girl wya?
Me: omw

I arrived 10 minutes later and made my way inside to change clothes. I smelled like Wyatt and I hate to admit that I love that I do. His body wash smelled of teakwood and something so masculine I couldn't put my finger on it. Speaking of the devil his name flashed on my phone.

"Miss me?" I answered before he could say anything
"Yes." Wyatt replied with a dry tone

"Aww Good morning sleepy head, nice to know I leave that affect on you." I smiled

"Why'd you go so soon? And why didn't you wake me?" Wyatt sounded upset

"I have things I needed to get done and you looked so sleepy I didn't want to wake you from your slumber." I whispered

"Did you eat breakfast?" Wyatt asked
"Yes, your cereal actually. It was delicious." I smiled again knowing he couldn't see

"I have to go-
"Don't hang up." Wyatt said rushed
"I have to go, we'll talk later-

"No, Grayson I have to tell you so-

I suddenly remembered I had to finish up a report that I left unattended for way too long, how could I forget!

"-I got to go, I'll shoot you a text later okay." I said before he could reply I hung up

I didn't want to be rude, but I could not miss this deadline

I was having issues with my login. No, no, Nope this cannot be happening! I'll have to catch a flight to head on home and do this in person. This little vacation was coming to a stop and I was so upset.

"Lucy don't hate me okay!" I said as I walked downstairs

"What is it?" Lucy looked up from cleaning the kitchen

"An emergency back home, nothing too serious but not something I can just ignore either. I have to take a flight back home, but I promise to be back soon." I explained

"What? You've only been here less than a week, you promised a whole month." Lucy pouted

"I know, but I'm having issues with my work login and I can't miss this deadline." I said

"Okay Grayson, but promise to come back or I'll go see you." Lucy said

"I promise! Drive me to the airport?" I asked

"Of course." Lucy replied

An hour and a half later I was packed up and purchased a one way back ticket to Arizona. I boarded my flight and headed back to Arizona.
