Chapter 11: In a blink of an eye

Dragon yelped in pain as the karate chop landed on him, "yes Miss Didit...", he said as he let go of Ace and Sabo. "But must you really have to karate chop my head?", he continued as he rubbed the spot where he took the hit.

"Of course! Since you were grabbing the kids by their shirts, dangling them even!".

Outlook came in after and glanced over the two women attacking Dragon, he then sees Sabo and Ace coning in his direction, to which he knelt down and extended his arms wide, "Sabo! My boy, come give your father a hug!", Outlook said with a wide smile in his face.

Sabo tackled him as he finally reached his father's arms, "Welcome back Father!", Sabo replied with a wide smile also plastered in him.

Outlook then sees Ace, who just waves at him shyly, he motions him to join the hug, which Ace just shakes his head. Outlook grabs Ace's hand and pulls him in on the hug, letting him know that he is apart of them, "I'm glad everyone is here today, because we have exciting news for everyone", Outlook chimed in getting everyone's attention.

Sabo looks at him questioning, and asked "what is it father?".

"I'm glad you ask, Sabo", he then stood up and continued, "we'll be moving to Goa City for a promotion I just received, we move tomorrow".

Everyone went dead silent after hearing that, Ace was mostly too baffled of what he just heard. He looks over to Sabo, who is more surprised than anyone in the room, "w... what?".

"Yes, we're moving there tomorrow, isn't that exciting Sabo!", Didit joined in as she clasped her hands together, "you get to meet new kids, and maybe new friends".

"No...", Sabo said quietly. He then shot his head up to his parents and finally shouted, "NO! I am not going there! I wanna stay here, with the people that I already know!", he then stormed out of the house and ran somewhere.

"Sabo wait!", Ace said as he warched his friend stormed out.

Outlook sighs as Didit walks over to him, "I knew he would act like that...", Outlook spoke which made Ace look up at him, "... maybe he isn't ready for this new life by now, will he ever see that this is for our own good?".

"Calm down, sweetie... he'll eventually know, he just needs some time, that's all", Didit comforted her husband as Dragon grabbed tea cups from the cupboards

Meanwhile Ace finally goes outside to find Sabo, it took some time to find him, but he eventually found him in his tree house. "Sabo! It's me Ace, can I climb in?", he shouted up the tree house, calling for him. It didn't take 30 seconds for him to open the trapdoor to let Ace in, and so Ace climbed up the wooden ladder. He finally reached inside but only to see Sabo curling into a ball against the wooden board wall, semi-red puffy eyes and dried tears in his cheeks, "Sabo..." was all he had to say before scooting closer to him.

Sabo spoke up between all the sniffles and tears, "I just can't believe that... they would say that, I don't wanna go, I WON'T go!".

Ace was about to say something to convince him to stay, but he remembers what Outlook said about earlier, and soon a wave of guilt was starting to form inside of him, trying to not regret what he's about to do. "Well, I think it's best for you to go".
