Chapter 11: In a blink of an eye

°~Flashback POV~°

As the boys munched on their food, Dadan and Dragon were still talking with a kitchen counter as their boundary, "so... I heard that your wife took custody of Luffy during the divorce, I'm really sorry to hear that", Dadan said.

Dragon sighs wearily and replies, "it's alright, and I get it... I ain't the best father for my own son, but I was really trying tho...".

"I know you are, and we're the same, like how Garp made me look after Roger's kid after he and Rouge...", Dadan trailed off from that last sentence, then coughed the awkwardness out of her throat, "... you know what I mean, I'm also trying to adjust to have a pestering kid like him".

Sabo looked over the grown-ups and said, "so does that mean that we won't see baby Luffy?", as bits of food were flying out of his mouth.

"Ack! Sabo there's food flying out now...", Ace said trying to avoid the spilled food everywhere, He jumped out of the chair and went to the kitchen, grabbing the paper towel roll. He went back to the table, tore a piece of the towel and began wiping Sabo's face, "geez Sabo, I can't always be your nanny if these two are busy, can't you act a little mature?".

"Mm, sorry about that Ace..." he said as his face had the expression that he did something wrong, "...I really didn't mean to make you mad and you to clean up my mess".

Guilt was rising inside of Ace's veins, so with no hesitation and not thinking twice, Ace kisses Sabo's cheek just to make him stop with that look in his face. Both Ace's and Sabo's faces were shaded with a deep red, Sabo was so shocked by this that he couldn't find the words to say, Ace on the other hand finally said something from the stuttering, "y-you did nothing wrong... s-so don't apologize, okay".

Sabo just nodded in response, but little did they know that Dadan and Dragon were there to witness it all, and were practically speechless, "... wow" was all Dragon had to say, "... what would Outlook and Didit think about this?".

"Possibly just be more surprise as us, but I'm just saying...", Dadan replied to him with her, still bug-eyed about Ace's stunt.

Ace finally eased down and continued cleaning Sabo's mess, as well as Sabo who took out a piece of the paper towel, helping him out also. Sabo looks over at Ace's direction, then he also with no hesitation, went right in and planted a kiss on Ace's cheek also. And so the shade of red in their faces were back once again, "W-what was that for?!", Ace shrieked as he held on the place where he got kissed.

"I-I couldn't let you get no kisses, s-so yeah...", Sabo replied as he looked at the opposite direction, "... besides, I r-really wanted to k-kiss you also...".

Baffled was Ace about what he said, so he gave his decision a second thought, then finally said it as he looked down, "can we... do it again?".

"Oi! You two are too young to experience this!!" Dragon exclaimed as he pulled Sabo and Ace apart, "You kids aren't ready for the commitment yet!!".

"Dragon!", Dadan said as she smacked Dragon's head with her fist full of rings, "you ought to let go of these kids, right now!".

"Sabo! We're home!", they all shot their heads towards the door, to see Didit outside of the door. "... Are we interrupting something here?", Didit said out of the shock. Then saw Dragon picking up Sabo and Ace, she immediately dashed towards him and swiftly karate chopped his head, "you let go of those kids, RIGHT NOW DRAGON!!".
