☕ Chapter 1: A Quiet Room, A Loud Welcome
Y/N wandered the halls of Ouran Academy with her hands in her pockets, her long hair tied back loosely. Her uniform was slightly rumpled, boots worn but comfortable. She looked like a boy at first glance, and she liked it that way—less attention, fewer questions.
She wasn't here to impress. She was here to survive the day.
After dodging a few overly enthusiastic club recruiters and sidestepping a hallway tea cart (yes, a tea cart), she found a door labeled Music Room #3. It looked quiet. Perfect.
She pushed it open.
Warm light spilled in from tall windows. Velvet couches, soft rugs, and the faint scent of roses filled the air. It was cozy—unexpectedly so. She stepped inside, hoping to find a corner to read in peace.
"Ah," came a voice. "A new visitor?"
Y/N turned slowly. Seven boys were lounging around the room, dressed like they'd just stepped out of a romance novel. One of them, a blond with sparkling eyes, stood and approached.
"Welcome," he said with a flourish. "To the Ouran High School Host Club."
Y/N blinked. "Host what?"
Kyoya, seated with a laptop, chimed in. "We entertain guests. Mostly girls. You seem... different."
The twins leaned in, curious. "Are you a boy or a girl?"
Y/N smirked. "Does it matter?"
Honey offered her a slice of cake. "You can stay if you like! It's cozy here."
Mori gave a quiet nod.
Tamaki, ever dramatic, placed a hand on his chest. "You have a mysterious aura. You must join us!"
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "I just wanted a quiet place to read."
Kyoya closed his laptop. "Then you've found the right room. Stay as long as you like."
She sat down on a velvet couch, pulled out her book, and let the chaos swirl around her. It wasn't the quiet she expected—but it was warm, strange, and oddly welcoming.
Maybe this school wouldn't be so bad after all. Y/N sank into the velvet couch, flipping open her book like she hadn't just walked into a room full of aristocratic chaos. The Host Club members watched her with a mix of curiosity and amusement. Most guests swooned. She... yawned.
Tamaki leaned in, eyes sparkling. "You have the air of a tragic prince. So aloof, so mysterious..."
Y/N didn't look up. "I'm just tired."
The twins exchanged glances, clearly intrigued. Hikaru whispered, "She's cooler than Kyoya."
Kaoru nodded. "And she hasn't even spoken in full sentences."
Kyoya raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He was already typing something into his laptop—probably calculating how Y/N's presence would affect club dynamics.
Honey plopped down beside her, swinging his legs. "Do you like sweets? I have strawberry cake!"
Y/N glanced at the plate. "I like quiet."
Mori silently offered her a cup of tea. She accepted it with a nod. It was warm, floral, and surprisingly calming.
Tamaki, undeterred, sat across from her dramatically. "You must have a tragic backstory. A scholarship student with a mysterious aura, long hair, and boots that have clearly seen battle..."
Y/N finally looked up. "I just overslept."
The room fell silent for a beat. Then the twins burst out laughing.
Kyoya closed his laptop. "Tamaki, I believe you've met your match."
Tamaki clutched his chest. "She's immune to charm!"
Y/N smirked and returned to her book. The Host Club buzzed around her, but she remained a quiet center in the storm. She hadn't planned to join anything. She hadn't planned to talk to anyone. But somehow, this strange, cozy room full of velvet couches and dramatic boys felt... okay.
Maybe even good.
Author's Note:
Y/N didn't come to Ouran Academy looking for drama, velvet couches, or a club full of beautiful boys with too much free time. But fate—or maybe just a quiet music room—had other plans.
She's calm, unreadable, and strangely magnetic. The Host Club doesn't know what to make of her... yet.
But what happens when someone starts to see through her nonchalant mask?
What happens when she's invited to host?
And what happens when one of them starts to fall?
Stay tuned. The tea's still warm, the roses are just beginning to bloom, and Y/N's story is only getting started... 🌹
