"A... what is that?" Aron questioned himself. "Is that a, corpse?"

Not quite, but it hit some checks.

Red cape? Check.
Mildly Armored? Check.
Dead? Blank.

Aron wondered who had died, but before anything, suddenly, sparks.
"What?!" Yes, sparks that turned into a small flame. While the flame grew in size by the second, Aron panicked and rushed to escape, Only meeting the same "corpse" earlier, now with his head, limbs and, well, body engulfed in a ball of fire, assuming a humanoid shape. Aron, petrified by what's happening and, the burning corpse spoke.

"..A..." The corpse could utter before it lost a bit of flame.
"A?" Aron, confused at what's happening, repeated.

Mind you, Aron's basically a medieval peasant looking at a phone.

"w...ho... am..."
Before long, Aron took off, leaving the corpse behind.

Well, not exactly. When Aron started running, the flaming dead quickly followed suit.

Aron has only noticed the burning ball of flames at the front of his doorstep when he looked outside to check if he's lost it.

"Who am I?" It asked Aron, who's just accepted his life's never gonna be the same again.
"I don't know."

"Well, give me a name." It asked.
"First off, WHAT are you?"
"A spirit." It replied almost immediately.

Aron gave the spirit the name 'Lles'. The spirit, overjoyed by its- I mean, HIS new name (he was a corpse what the hell do you expect) went to a spot nearby and the flame died down, revealing the same corpse, well, now in a different place. Mind you, that corpse has been dead for like, how many years now and has just been alive for a few minutes.

"Well," Aron sighed. "Today's whack." and went back to his hut and slept.

...

Next day, Aron decided he would scour the hut for old books, especially books that had information about spirits and necromancy.

His reading session came to an end when the spirit knocked on his door. Aron, who remembered that the spirit now sleeps near his hut, opened the door and on the other side was a flame with a more distinguished shape and from the small orange flame it once was, it's now a white flame.

"Hello, human!" The spirit greeted him. "What are you up to?"
"Reading." "Reading what?" Lles asked.

"A book about spirits, nothing interesting." Aron answered.

"Spirits... huh." Lles seemed less enthusiastic when he heard Aron.
"What's wrong?" Aron saw the spirit. "Do you not like being a spirit?"
"I do, but..." Lles sighed. "WHY DID YOU CLAIM A BOOK ABOUT SPIRITS UNINTERESTING?!"
"You were concerned about that?!".
