Eliot took a moment to think, then another to reply.

"I'm not sure, I guess.... I'm just scared." He confessed.

"Would she leave us?" He asked the question all of them were scared to think about.

Theo stayed silent, for the first time in his life, he didn't have an answer to something, for the first time ever he felt like this is out of his power.

"I don't know." He sighed.

Eliot dropped his head, his hand squeezing Nevaeh's.

He drew in a ragged breath, "I can't imagine my life without her, I can't breath without her." He gulped.

"We'll tell her, tomorrow."

Eliot snapped his head towards him, "I know with Jade and everything but-"

"I thought we would wait until after her birthday."

"That was the plan but we can't hold it off more, we'll tell her, tomorrow, I'll speak with the others." Theo stood up and fixed his cuffs, he looked one last time at the pair before he left the room.

Eliot stared at the door before looking back at Nevaeh's sleeping form.

"Please don't hate us," He kissed her hand before he left.

***********

Nevaeh woke up an hour ago, she was in the kitchen, Jonathan and Hades were sitting on the stools facing her as she mixed the cookie batter.

"And yeah, that's it." She told them about her day while they listened intently.

"I like the necklace." Jonathan commented, eyeing the necklace with slightly narrowed eyes.

"Jade got them, said they were a gift, but I feel bad." She sighed and dropped her arms, looking at them worriedly.

"I'm just... not used to this kind of thing."

"You get me nice and expensive things, I just.... Feel like some gold digger, you show me what you got all excited and everything, and I can't even pay you back for half of what you've done." She scoffed, getting out a tray and shaping the cookies, but with a little intensity in her movements.

"It's pathetic really." She sniffled.

"My love-" Hades tried holding her hand but she moved away.

"Don't." She held her hand up. "Don't even pretend it doesn't bother you." She moved around the kitchen quickly, her hands shaking and her eyes brimming with tears.

"It b-bothers you and y-you know I-it." Her voice shook as she put the tray of cookies in the preheated oven, she closed it and leaned on the marble counter, she closed her eyes and breathed shakily, she bit her lip to gulp her tears down, but they fell anyway.

"Nevaeh." Jonathan was behind her now, his hands on her waist as he squeezed softly, Hades was beside her, his hands in his pockets.

"Look at us."

She didn't, her hands squeezing the counter till her knuckles turned white.

"It's not about this, is it?" Hades said.

"A part of it but No." She whispered.

"What is it, then?" He lightly touched the nape of her neck.

"I want to leave."

Jonathan's movements paused, he glanced at Hades, his brows furrowed.

"Why?"

She breathed shakily before answering, "Being here, it doesn't feel right, it hurts." She cried.
