Chapter 1

Pounding was all she could feel, throbbing, an aching pain unlike any other she had ever experienced. Though, it wasn't as if she was feeling it, almost like another person, a being, was invading her mind and placing memories, visions, she did not desire to see. Flashes of darkness, rings, green light, and snakes stormed her brain at an incomprehensible rate.

It was nights like these where Reese would only sleep for 20 minutes at a time. Her mother had a gift, the mother she never knew, but knew of, as she was killed soon after Reese's birth. Her knowledge of life outside Erehnoll was small, along with her knowledge of family.

After the opening of Erehnoll to non-pure blood students in 1937, exceptional students were taken off grounds to continue their studies in a more sinister way.

Reese had taken it upon herself to indulge in her gift. She could generalize herself as a seer but it was more than that. No research had explained the late night tortures Reese was enduring, as not only could she see glimpses of what was to come, she would get knowledge of current time events, whether it was knowledge of figuring out where someone or something is, or knowing the outcome of each choice people would make, Reese's gift was beyond what has been written in books.

Such reasons are why Reese was taken off of Erehnolls normal schedule. Being a Rookclaw was a given based on the powerful magic running through her blood but it did not matter much off grounds as only ten other students where given such treatment as her.

It may seem like an advantage to be praised in such a way but Reese knew there were alternative motives to their tactics.

"Reese" she heard softly into her ear

"Reese wake up" the voice repeated

"Hes coming"

She shot up at that moment. She believed if she had ignored Eli long enough he would stop trying to bother her for her attention in her slumbers.

Ever since they had been separated from the school Eli has grown close to her, not in a friendly way though, Reese didn't have friends. Eli simply liked her for her figure and dirty blond hair contrasting her sharp green eyes.

Acknowledging the words said, Reese looked around the room before realizing no one was frantic, she had been tricked by Eli, obviously.

"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you, you were just shaking in your sleep, you seemed possessed." he stated with worry, which was obviously artificial

"There is no need to fake caring for me Eli, what did you really need?" she stated with annoyance as he had woken her from a potentially important vision.

"Fine if you want to be that way, you almost woke the entire room up with your groaning and shaking, try not to let your wet dreams take control of your body." he said with a smirk to his face before rolling over and going back to sleep.

Reese was the only girl in their room, matter a fact the only girl separate from the main school, they all slept in one main room, but Reese got a small separate section for being the only girl.

She rolled her eyes before settling back into bed, preparing for the endeavors to come the next morning.

Awakened by the shuffling of her roommates, Reese prepared herself for the activities presented for the day. Reese was in her sixth year of studies, the year was 1943, so she only had two more years left to endure the torture of this school before being sent away. She wasn't supposed to know that was what they were training her for, but through clues and her visions Reese knew that with the war of Grindelwald arising, the dark school was simply raising soldiers to fight alongside the dark wizard.
