Monty is straight from high school a sixteen-year-old naïve girl having no idea about what to expect from life. She has always found it hard to make friends since the introvert in her enjoys her own company. There is also the part of being raised by strict African parents. Monty is the last born in a family of fifteen and has always seen herself as invisible. Her father always worked in different towns and never home hence, leaving the part of raising the kids to Monty’s mom. Even with the presence of the mom at most times, Monty has always felt out of place and never belonging. Her sisters are way older than her and always keep Monty off when talking about their relationships or boys in particular. The only reference Monty has had in her entire life is the magazines she read and the articles she searched online.
