13. Kitty Hawk is Hell

Kie and I talk while we walk.
"So are we gonna talk about what I walked into?" Kie asks. I sigh.
"We almost kissed. I think we might've if you hadn't walked in." I say.
"Stupid fire." She says. I laugh.

"I don't think that fire was accidental."
"You think someone would do that?" She asks. I nod. "Yeah, John B has a lot of enemies."
"Shit." She mutters.

We get to her house.
"Okay, so how are we doing this?" I ask.

Kie starts reciting ways to ask.

A truck saying 'Kitty Hawk' pulls up. A guy gets out.
"Kie." I say standing up.
"Hey, Kiara and Naomi." He says.

She grabs my arm as we start walking towards the stairs.

"Come back. I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk."
"No thanks." I say glancing back.
"It'll just take a second."
"Stranger danger." Kie mutters while trying to open the door.

It's locked. We both start knocking.

The guy is on the porch with us. The door opens and it's another guy.
"Who are you?" Kie asks.
"Look, this can go one of two ways."
"No, no, no." Kie mutters.

I feel arms grab me.
"Don't touch me!" I yell trying to get out of his grasp. Fighting him makes the bruises and cuts on my arm hurt more.

The other guy grabs Kie.

"I'm sorry, girls. We're sending you away for a while." Anna says.
"You can't do this! I'm not your kid!" I yell.
"You're under our care, and this is the best way to help you. They say Kitty Hawk is the best."
"No." Kie says. 
"It's not forever. We love you." Anna says to Kie.

"I can't do this right now." Kie says trying to get the guy off her.
"Get off!" I yell.

"We're trying to help you." Anna says.
"This is the best way." Mike says.
"You're fucking crazy!" I yell.
"You can't send us to wilderness cuckoo's nest!"
"They're not gonna hurt you. They're good people." Mike says.
"No! Please!" I plead.

We can't get taken right now. They need us.

They start dragging us down the stairs.
"I said I don't wanna go!" Kie yells.
"You're not my parents! You can't make me do this!" I yell grabbing onto the fence. The guy pulls me off.

"No! No! Please!" Kie and I yell getting thrown into the back of the truck.

I try opening the door and obviously it's locked.

Kie yells hitting the window.

We drive off and I don't know what to do. Kie and I look at eachother desperate for a way out.

I pull out my phone careful not to be seen.

I text JJ.
"kitty hawk."

The guy turns around and sees my phone.
"You can't have that." He says reaching for it. I turn it off and put it in my pocket.
"Don't fucking touch me." I say.

We get to Kitty Hawk.

"I have Kiara Carrera and Naomi Gray." The guy tells the man.
"Go ahead." He says.

I look out the window and see a bunch of girls working outside.

This is hell.

We park and the guy grabs my arm to get me to walk. I shake his arm off and follow the other one.

A lady takes us both in. She hands us a uniform to change into. It's ugly. We get a bag and put our clothes in it.

We walk out and sit with her.
"This is bullshit." I say.
"We try to use encouraging words here."
"I encourage you to let us fucking go." I say smiling.
