☆ sing with you

winter is slowly fading away, and comes spring
rui felt particularly keen on spending time with a certain junior of his but his problem was, how?

what excuse will he come up with? what reason will he propose and how will he approach him!

well he didn't have to do any of that because as he was just wondering how he'll approach Toya, Toya approached him.

"Kamishiro, are you free after school?, if so i was wondering if you'd like to go karaoke with me? "the boy with the two toned hair asked him, leaving him in disbelief

but still he tried to keep his cool

"it's not often Aoyagi asks to spend time with me, how could i decline" he replied , trying his best to hide his nervousness

the two boys spent the rest of the day, with anticipation , every second felt longer that usual

and finally came 'after school'

Toya waits for Rui by the school gate, by just looking at his face you couldn't tell that he felt like his heart was about to pop like a balloon

Rui finally arrived to meet the younger and they made their way to the the karaoke bar

The two boys walked side by side, enjoying even the simple presence of each other , though most of the walk was silent , maybe with a topic of conversation popping up every now and then

there was never a moment where the air was awkward

However Rui couldn't help but wonder, why Toya would suddenly invite him to spend time together?

surely he didn't share the same feelings he did, he didn't want to get his hopes , after all he was just his weirdo senior at school, he probably invited him out of boredom or something like that

But he couldn't help but get his hopes up, nonetheless, whatever may have been the reason he was just happy to spend time with Toya

They reached and got a room, and suddenly the awkwardness which was previously absent crept its way between the two

"So.. Aoyagi, how about you sing first? I'll need a little time to choose a song" the taller boy broke the silence

"Actually Kamishiro... i was hoping we'd sing together actually" the younger said with all his courage

he never knew that such simple words would be so heavy to mutter

Rui simply stood there with a dazed look, though the answer was clear as day, his mouth would not co-operate

"I heard you sing at one of your shows the other day.. and i um couldn't help but think that you were a really great singer , i really liked your voice and um so much so that i really"

the younger paused for a second, clearing his throat

"I really wanted to sing with you"

Rui couldn't help but smile, after all the musical prodigy Aoyagi Toya just praised the vocals of him, just a lowly director of a small theatre

maybe because it was because it was Toya who complimented him, he felt like it was the greatest compliment he'd ever received, it's silly what love can do to you

"well of course, I'd love to sing with you" Rui replied with a smile, much different than that usual smug he wears on his face

"Ah, Then do you mind if i choose the song!? " The younger boy, seemingly pleased with his response asked with excitement

Rui gave a nod and a smile, then the younger started messing with the tablet and on the screen he saw a familiar song

'First kiss'

"Excellent song choice Aoyagi"

"Ah I'm glad you think so"

Then the music starts, eyes locked on the other's only ever looking away to look at the the lyrics on screen every now and then, the pair sang with smiles plastered on their faces

As Rui sang the lyrics like

"I can't sleep tonight this is all your fault, though we only said goodbye moments ago"

"Funny enough im so full of these warm feelings"

"Though I'm a guy my tears are starting to run down my cheek"

"This love to you, will always be to you"

and of course

"My first kiss was a kiss from you"

All words, if he had the courage, would maybe one day say to the boy singing the same lyrics next to him

well maybe except the last one, though he really wished that maybe one day, some day he could be able to say those words to the boy that seemingly came out of nowhere, though gradually, he had fallen for him, Aoyagi Toya.
