Chapter 1

The warmth of morning sunrays touch my skin and a sweet little curve skips my lips. A lovely morning to start a new day, new experience and new beginning. 

"Presa Zuraya Lee, come on get up! Maiiwanan ka ng bus sinasabi ko saiyo!". And then suddenly my smile faded when I heard my mama's voice. 

"I'm up. Give me twenty minutes!" I yelled back. I immediately made my way to the bathroom para maligo na.

Finally ito na ang araw na ako mismo ang pupunta sa lugar kung saan ako ipinangako ni dad. Yes, my father is responsible for my arranged marriage.

At first I didn't like the idea of letting a stranger man into my life. Pero nag bago ang isipin na iyon when my father showed me his breath taking photos.

He's a local doctor, to a province, he is a public servant and I really like that part of him. Last week nag punta ako sa mga nakakakilala sa kaniya at lahat ng comments nila about him ay positive, wala manlang pangit.

And I'm happy because my future husband would be so kind and caring, bakit ko nasabi? Because he's a doctor and psychiatrist.

At ngayon nga ang araw na ako mismo ang mag o- observe sa kaniya. Since nag graduate ako ng nursing, may dahilan ako para lumapit sa kaniya and this whole plan is part of my internship.

What a plan. 

My name is Presa Zuraya Lee, i'm 24 and I live in a city. My parents are the owners of famous hospitals in manila, so basically we're rich. Hindi na sana ako pupunta sa province just to prove na okay na ako sumalta. 

Inisip ko na magiging unfair iyon sa process ng pag abot ng pangarap and career, at pinilit ko pa si dad, at nung pinilit ko siya napa- payag ko siya agad.

Dahil mayroon din pala siyang dahilan. He wants me to go there to observe my future husband. Sabi ko nga noong una ayaw ko, but when I saw his beautiful face, my ghad, my beliefs suddenly changed. 

"Tapos kana?!". Sigaw ulit ni mama. How I hate her for disturbing my thoughts. 

"Oo ma, saglit lang, papatuyo lang po ako ng buhok!". Sigaw ko pabalik. I grab the make up kit at nag apply ng kunti lang.

I want to be fresh, kahit pa alam kong anim na oras ang biyahe bago ako makapunta doon. 

I heard a knock.

"Come on in". I said.

"Kapag pupunta ka ng probinsya, at ganyan ka kung gumalaw nako Presa! Pagagalitan ka ng mga senior!". Kumunot ang noo ko.

"This is my last minutes here at pagagalitan mo lang nanaman ako ma? Don't worry, i'll be responsible. Tiyaka isang buwan lang naman ako doon. At kapag hindi ko nagustuhan, please tell dad I don't wanna get married.". Natawa siya sa sinabi ko..

"My goodness Presa! Ayaw ko din ng idea mo pero anong magagawa ko? May lahi kang Chinese kaya wala kang magagawa kundi sumunod. Your father knows what's best for you.". I just nodded my head at tinapos na ang ginagawa ko.

"What's his name again, mom?". I asked her habang nakatitig sa salamin. 

"Ricky Fernandez. The best doctor in that province. Your father chose him for you dahil alam niya ang kakayahan ni Doctor Dalusong.". Pahayag niya.

"Are they rich? His family?". I asked again.

"They are average. Not rich, not poor. They are just living a normal life". Tumango lang ako.
