Blacken my heart, a poison within,
A corruption of purity, a deepening sin,
I once knew my soul, my being, my all,
Now lost to the darkness, a never-ending fall.
Creeping dark night, encroaching so slow,
A fear and foreboding, I can't seem to know,
My thoughts and my mind, it all slips away,
As I'm swallowed by the darkness, day after day.
Names on the ground, a memory of old,
A loss of my self, my being, my mold,
I search and I seek, for something to hold,
But all that's left is memories so cold.
Surrendered to darkness, I cannot resist,
It consumes me whole, a relentless twist,
The devil within, the darkness it brings,
It devours my soul, my everything.
A puppet to the darkness, I am now bound,
A pawn in its game, with no way to be found,
The darkness it feeds, on my deepest fears,
As I am trapped, in this hell, for years and years.
