during the boy with luv era, halsey and yuri were quick to become friends. they found comfort in one another due to their similarities. yuri was happy to have another girl around for a little bit and halsey felt more reassured due to yuri's friendliness.
their friendship is loved by fans. of course they get the people who ship them together, but instead of denying them, halsey and yuri play along and it has now become an inside joke for them. it's clear that they're genuinely best friends outside of the public's eyes. they try to hang out as often as they can, although that can be a bit difficult due to the distance.

conan and yuri first met when conan messaged yuri asking for vip tickets for a concert. yuri found his message very funny and easily got him the tickets. she invited him backstage and that was the start of their friendship. they had a very similar sense of sarcastic humour and yuri was glad since no one else seemed to understand usually.
ever since, they've been very good friends and always meet up when yuri goes to america. she invited him to south korea and showed him around the city, taking him to all the places she had basically grown up at. they've also collaborated on songs more than once, if not with singing then with writing since their personal styles match a bunch.

yuri grew up with taylor swift's music. every since she discovered the artist during her 'fearless' era, she's been the biggest fan. in middle school, she saved up money and got tickets to see the fearless world tour and she still says it was one of the best days of her life.
yuri refers to taylor as her mother and was shocked when taylor replied to one of her tweets with 'that's my daughter!'. she ran around her apartment for five minutes and then refreshed the tweet to see if it was actually real. they had met once years before, but they finally properly met each other at the 2022 AMAs and taylor even got yuri's number. they still keep in touch, congratulating each other whenever there's a new project.
