For his morning routine, Tanjirō woke up, rolled out of bed, changed out of his nightwear into his regular clothes, and began chopping wood with his axe. Father was ill, and none of the others were up yet, so it was just Tanjirō today. Apparently, father had caught the flu
when he was younger and had a weak immune system ever since. That never stopped him from from doing heavy lifting and strenuous tasks... until now.

But hope was bright. It was spring, and father had all of summer and fall to
recover. It should pass over quickly
enough.
