Chara didn't so much as flinch as a
monster jumped out at her, its loose flesh sagging like a zombie's despite the lack of visible injuries.

The regular theme for battle started. The music without instruments, the
soundtrack to her own life. At this point, it was lackluster to Chara. She had heard it so many times, and the meaning of it was practically beat into her head: this was an easy, bottom-tier enemy.

Her knuckles were white over the hard wood of the stick. It's bark crumbled in her grasp.

There was no need to check for the demon's stats. No need to use any items.
And now that she RESET to the beginning all over again, it's not like she had anything on her anyway.
