I have sinned,
And I have smiled.
I have smoked sentences in the empty night,
And I have been drunk with jealousy
Over faces that I don't know.
I have fought,
And I have won.
I have come home with scratches and
Bruises lining my skin.
And I have fought
And I have lost,
I have come home with empty pockets
And a smile on my face.
I have lied
And I have swore
And I have cursed
And I have been alone.
I have lost myself,
I have found myself,
I have hurt myself,
I have healed myself,
I but I have never
Been myself.
