"are you still on the phone?" cj cracks open her roommates door, peaking her head inside.

the girl on the inside drops her phone and tosses it to the side, putting all of her attention on the figure in front of her. "just got off, what's up?"

a sigh of relief falls from her lips before she slips inside and shuts the door, running to plop on her best friends bed next to her. "i'm bored, and i almost got the urge to check my instagram comments so i need to not do that."

"turn them off," rinae suggests, but cj just shakes her head. "i don't want it to look like i'm guilty of something. people are already starting to assume."

the blonde scowls lightly imagining fans digging into their business, trying to unlock whatever went down behind the scenes. "i hate that, i'm sorry. those aren't real fans."

"i get it, i'm nosey too," cj sighs again and the two laugh for a minute before she goes on to change the topic, "so what's going on with you and jeno, dude? pretty sure fans are fully convinced y'all are dating at this point."

rinaes ears go red and hot at the mention of jeno, a smile fighting to appear but she bites it back. "every time someone mentions him it just makes me realize i like him more than i thought i did."

"rinaeeeee!" the other coos, reaching out to pinch her cheeks while rinae fights her hands away, "that's fucking adorable, i can't remember the last time you liked someone this much. have you ever even liked someone this much?"

"probably not," rinae reminisces, trying to recall a time she'd ever thought of someone as much as she thinks of jeno, and is unsuccessful.

"please tell him. i'm serious, he's already so sweet to you and oh my god i need to see you all loved up and happy, please."

cj would have been right, and rinae knew that. she could believe he liked her back if there wasn't that tiny part of denial eating her alive, yet she still wasn't willing to take that chance.
