I jumped as Aquilla appeared infront of me and literally lit one of the torches in the base with a flick of her hand. She must of seen me appear after checking up on the pets, we switched every week to feed and refil the pets water, this week it was my duty. "What have I told you about using your power at school!" I scowled at her. After the first week we'd been back Aquilla got a little angry and may have lit her hand on fire, after that wholesome scare we all started testing ourselves for newly developed abilities only to slowly have them appear throughout the next week. I could control anything that was earth, Felicity could control water, Sky could control the air and of course Aquilla could control fire.

"What? No one's gona see me down here! Plus it's a secret base- no one's going to find out we have powers if I only use them down here!" She argued back, obviously annoyed that I'd told her off for like the thousandth time- she had anger issues so I let her blow off her fiery steam before replying. "Fine! As long as your extra careful when the door opens for us other three to come in!" I said in my normal voice this time although with a sigh. She nodded and head up the steps after grabbing her bag, Aquilla was normally the late-ish one eventhough she lived the closest to school, was I late or was she just early. Glancing at my watch I saw the time was 8:30am, I had sixteen minutes before form which was loads of time so she was early today.

As soon as the form class bell rang the office ladies used the speaker system to tell everyone were to go for parade. "Grade seven's and eighth's to the hall, Grade nine's and ten's to between E and F-wing, Grade eleven's to the sports center and Grade twelve's to the PA! I repeat! Grade seven's and eighth's to the hall, Grade nine's and ten's to between E and F-wing, Grade eleven's to the sports center and Grade twelve's to the Performing Arts block!" one of the office ladies announced over the speaker system. I changed course, weaving threw the steel lunch tables that were bolted to the ground with Sky at my side.

There was already a bunch of kids there dropping off their bags and lining up, I spotted Flic and Aquilla after dumping my bag and playfully barged into them. They groaned as they were shoved forward but they over committed to how much they need to lean forward to play along and Aquilla almost face planted. Flic, me and my other friends died of laughter as Aquilla regained her balance and I almost toppled over from Sky jumping on my back, now it was their turn to laugh. Sky is a wild card, one minute she can be crazy with energy and wanting to do stuff, or she could wanting to have some alone time with me and cuddle the next. I'm a bit of a wild card myself but not to her extent, she can be extremely excited sometimes and I found it hilarious when it died down quickly.

We all gradually made our way inside practically dragging our feet, and sat down in our form classes. The usual notices were read out like uniform requirements, detentions and upcoming events. When it was time to leave however things started to go downhill and fast. Laughing at a joke Flic made about what one of the teacher's said we failed to notice that the bell hadn't gone as we left the sports center eventhogh it was two minutes into lunch.

I sauntered over to were our bags were only to find mine wide open! I let out a frustrating growl as I frantically searched the other pockets, the others checked their bags to see if any had been stolen as well. "The books missing!" I shrieked as I zipped up my last pocket. I whirled around to the others to see grim looks on their faces. We rushed to the side of the Sports center to see the yellow spray paint markings-the ones we'd used to see how far someone could whack a golf ball. A big yellow M, F, A and S confirmed we were back in the empty world. "Which bastard took my book and brought us here!" I grunted threw my teeth- the ground started shaking and Sky placed her hand in mine, calming me down so the mini earthquake only last a few more seconds .
