Emily and Alison lay on Emily's bed, Alison's head resting on Emily's chest.
"Em?" Alison sounds like she's been crying.
"What's wrong, Ali?"
"This is our last day together."
"What?" Emily feels a panic shoot through her.
"I'm not supposed to tell anybody. Mom is taking me, Jason, and Charlie and getting us away from Dad. Taking us somewhere safe."
"Ali..."
"I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye to you though."
They sit up and Emily wipes away Alison's tears, then she gets an idea. She unclasps her friendship bracelet.
"Here. Switch with me. That way we always have part of each other with us. Forever."
Emily clasps her bracelet onto Alison's wrist and Alison puts hers around Emily's.
"Forever."
Alison leans forward and presses a soft kiss to Emily's lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
