kenma, in fact, did not get much more talkative, but it never really bothered kuroo. sometimes it was enough to just sit in silence and play games together. sometimes it was nice to watch his best friend smile slightly as he was telling him another story. kuroo had many other friends, but none of them were as close to him as his neighbour. since they were children, everything just seemed easier around kenma. it always warmed up kuroo's heart when the other was opening up to him. he would never forget the  first time when he heard kozume's laugh - something tensed up in him, and left this warm feeling in his stomach that was coming back whenever he was meeting up his friend to go to school together.

they watched each other grow up and change.

but, kenma changed up a bit too much.
