THE POGUES WAITED UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING, DECIDING TO GO ON THEIR HUNT TO LOCATE THE MURDER WEAPON WHEN IT WAS LIGHT OUTSIDE.
"This is the north drain." JJ said, chucking his bag down onto the dirty ground. "It should've gotten washed into the gully."
Aelia made her way over to stand beside Pope and JJ who were observing the storm drain infront of them. "So, if it got flushed out from this drain, it would've been pushed out to, like-" JJ motioned to the trash floating above the water, "Somewhere in this trash." Pope finished the boy's sentence.
"Correct." JJ responded to the boy. Kie let out a frustrated sigh once she noticed all of the trash, "Oh my God. People who use plastic should be shot."
"Okay, personally, I love plastic." JJ gave his opinion, clearly trying to annoy the environmentalist who stood above him. "Use it every day. Love the stuff."
Kie gave a blank stare to JJ, "Hopefully, you recycle it and don't let it flush into the ocean."
JJ rolled his eyes at Kie, stopping when Pope reached into his pocket. "I thought you'd say something like that, so..." He revealed his hand, holding a roll of trash bags. "Trash bags."
"Did you just proactively protect the environment?" Kiara smiled in admiration at the boy.
