"Seriously, it's nothing" Chaeyoung fakes her smile in an attempt to make us believe her.
"We know there's something" Jennie states and glances at me to speak up.
"Yeah, if it were actually nothing, Jennie and I would still be waking up to you and Jisoo arguing" I agree
She stays silent. A minute passes.
"You're not gonna leave until I say something, right?" Chaeyoung asks
Jennie nods.
"Then prepare to sit here for hours" Chaeyoung comments and closes her eyes
Jennie sighs, "Okay"
WAIT WHAT?! I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!!
2 minutes pass...
Chaeyoung groans, "Just give up, I'm not saying anything"
"That concludes that there, indeed, is something bothering you" I reply
Chaeng stands up and tries to walk away, but Jennie pulls her back, forcing her to sit again.
"You two are acting as if you've never had a bad day before. You're as bad as Jisoo! Seriously Jennie, mind your own business and just leave me the fuck alone! This is why people don't like you!" The blonde yells
"Oh" A fourth voice says, expressing how I feel
We all turn to look at the front door.
"Jisoo?" I ask, my voice coming out as a whisper
Chaeyoung lets out a quiet grunt and walks away. Jennie doesn't bother stopping her this time.
"Wrong timing, I guess" Jisoo tries joking around
Silence...
I clear my throat and ask, "Aren't you supposed to be working?"
"There was more than enough staff today, so they told me I could leave" Jisoo answers me and plops on the couch
"Is your girlfriend okay?" She asks me, glancing in Jennie's direction
I turn to look at Jennie and she's just staring down at the floor. With furrowed eyebrows, I go up to her.
"Jennie?" I ask
No reaction.
"Hey Nini, look at me" I softly tell her and with my hand, slowly lift her chin up to get her to look at me.
Her eyes are filled with tears, making me frown.
"Baby...what's wrong?" I ask her
She shakes her head and wipes any tears she has away.
"Nothing...I'm okay" Jennie answers me with a tiny smile
"Jennie..." I mutter and envelop her in a hug
I hear a door open and close and footsteps get near, then further again.
"Yah! Park Chaeyoung!" Jisoo yells
"Aish, what the fuck do you want now, bitch?!" Chaeng replies
"I don't know who the fuck you think you are or even who you are, but you don't speak to Jennie or Lisa like that! I don't give a fuck if you treat me that way, but don't treat them like you treat me! You understand, bitch?!" Jisoo rants in an aggressive tone
