Shiza's POV

This morning when I woke up, I was astonished to be exact the words. Bisma and Khala were busy in the kitchen preparing lavish delicacies. I don't know the occasion as it was nothing extraordinary happening today. It's just a simple Saturday morning when I am free of my work.

That's why I even woke up late. It's already 12:00 in the noon when I decided to leave the bed. When I came out of the room fully fresh, khala and Bisma were too busy to even notice my presence here. I was literally confused.

What's got them so hyped up today? I finally decided to make my presence known as I can't be standing there waiting for them to atleast acknowledge me

"Asalamualikum khala and Bisma."

At my sudden voice, they both looked up at the same time. Khala smiled in my direction and stated fondly

"Meri pyari bacchi, uth gaye tum."

(My beautiful daughter, you woke up)

I smiled hearing the sweetness in her voice. Her voice reminds me of honey and all the sweet thing. She is such a sweetheart. Bisma wriggled her eyebrows at me and said

"Should I ask why were you so late?"

She knows that I hated to sleep till late. But today is maybe an exception. At her comment, I tried to think a little before muttering cheekily

"Maybe, today is exception."

At my answer, Bisma started laughing. I also joined her. My mood is good today. The weather, the chehal phehal in the home is making me looking forward to this day. But still I am unaware of the preparations. They both might have judged the calculative gaze of me. So, khala rolled her eyes and slightly slapped her forehead before saying

"Ya Allah! Ye larki bhool gaye ha."

(Oh God! This girl forgot)

I am still not able to grasp anything. Khala exhaled heavily before announcing

"Beta, Shehnaz Sahiba is coming today for asking your hand in marriage."

At her sudden information, I was left stunned. Did I hear right? No, it can be possible. Her announcement took me back to the day when Shehnaz Ammi first proposed this idea to me.
