Chapter 11: Meeting the ancient heros part 3

The wolf barked in response.

"Watch human! As we successfully climb the tree but without a fancy bow and rope." Crunchy chip cookie glared at the archer who glared right back.

Crunchy chip cookie then hopped on his wood before the two sprinted towards the same tree that had Caramel arrow cookie.

Now how would a wolf be able to physically climb a tree. Well it's simple, because of the pet wolf's size the bark on the tree was much larger and therefore much easier to hold onto with its claws versus a wolf were to climb a tree and it's claws could only hold onto it for so long before it would begin to slip.

As the two sprinted, (Y/N) could feel the excitement begin to bubble.

This is going to be so cool!

(Y/N) watched as the two were prepared to jump onto the bark of the tree. But unfortunately a yelp took all 4 beings out of the amazing performance.

Crunchy chip jumped off his wolf, "Are you okay boy?" He asked the wolf who was whimpering.

"Is everything alright, crunchy chip cookie?" Dark Cacao cookie asked, joining his guard at the foot of the tree.

"Yes your majesty. It appears wolf got a splinter but I didn't bring any of my medical supplies with me for such a scenario."

(Y/N) heard this and immediately sprang into action, "Hold on. I know just the thing. I will be right back! Make sure you are not seen by anyone!" (Y/N) shouted before racing back home leaving the cookies alone in the forest.

"I wonder what they are gathering?" Caramel arrow cookie about to make her way down the tree when something caught her eye. She looked to see and hear footsteps and movement coming from the forest. Unfortunately it wasn't in the direction of (Y/N)'s house. This was someone new.

Caramel cookie gasped, "Your majesty! There are more humans coming!"

Crunchy chip and Dark Cacao cookie gasped, they wouldn't be able to move the wolf in time before these new humans approached. So Dark Cacao did the next best thing he could think of. He saw a fallen branch near by that was covered in leaves.

"Crunchy chip help me pull!" The king shouted as the steps got louder. The guard and the king sprinted before pulling on the branch until it was in front of Crunchy chip's wolf. The two then hid behind the branch as well just in time to see the two new humans.

"Ugh. I cannot wait for tomorrow. I wonder what kind of sweets they will bring." An old women exclaimed, her mouth watering as the women besides her scowled.

"Is all you think about food, Octavia?"

Octavia suddenly stopped in her tracks causing her sister to stop as well. Lucinda turned, "What is it?"

"I smell something!" Octavia shouted, nose wiggling as she began to sniff around. Meanwhile Lucinda looked at her sister as if she was a wild animal.

"I smell chocolate, and caramel. It smells so good!" Octavia used her sensitive nose to sniff towards the tree where all three cookies were hiding.

Dark Cacao cookie and Crunchy chip cookie held their weapons out ready to attack the new human who was quickly approaching. When they heard a thwack.

Octavia whined as she held her head, "Ow! What was that for?"

"Look at you. Acting like a wild animal. We'll get treats tomorrow so calm down your hunger. Now let's go you old bat!" Lucinda shouted before walking off leaving her sister still groaning at the wound.

"Hey! I'm younger than you!" Octavia shouted, chasing after her sister.

Once out of sight, all three cookies and pet wolf took a sigh of relief. Finally safe and so-

"IM BACK!" (Y/N) shouted running towards the area. All three Cookie immediately brandished their weapons before they realized who it was.

"Guys?" (Y/N) looked around, not knowing the cookies were hiding behind a branch. They look towards Caramel arrow cookie who is still on the branch.

"Caramel, where are the others?"

"We are down here!"crunchy chip cookie called waving his arms from behind the fallen branch.

(Y/N) crouched down, "Oh? Why are you hiding behind this branch?" (Y/N) with ease picked up the stick and tossed it.

"There were two other humans who made their way over here."

(Y/N)'s eyes widened, "Did they see you?!"

"No. Thankfully this large branch was near by and we were able to hide before they could see us." Dark Cacao explained.

After hearing the story, (Y/N) slumped in relief.
"Oh thank goodness. Now let's see if this will help!" (Y/N) took out a white box with a Red Cross and opened it up in the middle.

As Caramel arrow cookie was making her way down, the other two on the ground examined the items inside the box.

Crunchy chip cookie's face scrunched, "What is that stuff and why does it burn my eyes!"

(Y/N) chuckled, "That might be the running alcohol. All of this inside is medical supplies and this, "(Y/N) grabbed a role of medical tape, "Might help with the wolf, but I have to remove the splinter and wrap it around its paw. May I?"

(Y/N) offered their hand to the small wolf, who hesitated. They looked towards its owner who gently pet the creature.

"Don't worry I will be right here?" The wolf whimpered, before it stood up on its three remaining paws. Crunchy chip cookie helped the wolf walk over to the human's hand and guide it up. The Wolf sniffed the hand it was on out of curiosity as (Y/N) placed the wolf in their lap. All the cookies watched at the human brought out a pair of tweezers to pull out the wood. When they did, the wolf yelped on pain, causing his owner to be concerned.

"Hey! Be gentle!" Crunchy chip growled.

"Don't worry I'm almost done." (Y/N) explained reaching for the medical tape. All the cookies watched with bated breath as the human gently grabbed the wolf's paw and wrapped it in the medical tape before setting it down towards the three cookies once more.

Crunchy chip rushed towards his pet.

"Are you okay, boy?" The cookie asked as the wolf slowly got on his feet. It applied pressure on its foot and when it felt no pain. It began to walk around before it realized the medical tape work and barked with glee.

"It worked!" Caramel arrow cookie shouted with glee.

Crunchy chip cookie was elated as his wolf pounced on him to give him kisses.

The cookie chuckled, "Down boy!"

Their king watched the entire scene roll out and couldn't help but smile.

"(Y/N). Can I borrow some of this medical tape?Perhaps we can use it to help with warriors that are injured." Caramel arrow cookie asked.

(Y/N) nodded before reaching into the first aid kit, "Sure I got plenty to spare!"

As the four returned home, Caramel arrow cookie actually rode on the human shoulders while the others stayed on the now healed wolf.

When it was time to go home and the portal opened to get them back to their kingdom, Caramel arrow, Crunchy Chip and the wolf hopped in immediately. But the king stayed a moment longer.

"I guess you are not so bad human." The king said, leaving before he could see their reaction.

Once the portal closed, (Y/N) began to throw their fists in the air. "DARK CACAO LIKES ME! I AM SO HAPPY!"

(Y/N) danced with glee only to realize,

"DAMN IT! TOMORROWS MONDAY!" They shook their head, "No! I will not let the idea of tomorrow to stop me from being happy! DARK CACAO LIKE ME!" They screamed once more.

(Y/N) truly felt on top of the world but if only they knew that things were not going to end up sunshine and rainbows. And a danger was approaching them.
