SAGE LAPOINTE saw the end coming long before the day percy jackson stepped foot inside camp half-blood's boundary. and much before the gods had finally intertwined her fate into a great prophecy. sage (and the rest of camp) had thoroughly enjoyed pretending she wasn't there, much less a forbidden child. something the rest of the world would learn not to fuck with. until now, everyone had understood the lapointe legacy, the heir of darkness, was an overplayed prophetic saga that had since withered away inside sage lapointe but just wouldn't die.
if the murders, the monster, and percy fucking jackson had come some time before her campmates had ignored her into nonexistence, or before she decided she liked mocha cold brews more than the average night owl, maybe it all would've been different. all sage would've had to do was keep her head down. sage had seen the end coming.
