22| "Because I feel like I can trust you"

Start from the beginning

"Okay," A short pause, "are Nala and Milo here, because I didn't see them here?" She asked again.

"No, they went to training, but I'm gonna go pick them up in a couple minutes." I answered leaning back onto my chair.

As I look at her, I see she wants to say something but she's hesitatent to say it.

"What do you want to tell me Amara." I calmly asked.

"Umm...can...can I stay with you in here then?" She finally said.

"Yeah sure." I said and she smiled making her way towards my desk.

Never in my life did I think I'd be happy just to sit with a six year old.

But She was different.

She was someone I brought into this world.

A girl that I never got to meet but only did a bit ago, and she already has my entire heart, just like how her mother did when I first met her.

They both has some type of weakness and love I hold for the both of them.

She probably has no clue who I actually am to her, but she's my girl.

When she was comfortable she started speaking.

"So what you doing?" She asked looking at the two stacks of papers in front of me.

"Signing papers."

"That's...that's alot"

"It is, but I'm used to it from doing it every single day since I was eighteen." I answered with a sigh.

Her eyes widen.

I softly chuckled at her reaction.

"You sign millions upon millions of papers everyday?" She asked in shock.

"Yeah pretty much." I said, falling back into my chair.

"Wow. I could never. I'm already lazy enough."

I laughed.

"Weird question but how do you have so much money?" She aks.

"Umm, it's a bit complicated." I simply said.

"Okay, but is you signing papers part of it?"

"Sort of."

"Huh. So your saying I could actually just sign papers and I'd be rich." She said.

"No not really."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I don't just sit around and sign papers. My jobs pretty complicated a very tough. It's harder than you think. It's more than signing millions of papers a day. I mean although my parents had this job, then my dad handed it to me after he retired, but since I've been part of it and wanted to be part of it since I knew about it, it's still ridiculously hard. It's sometimes a lot. This is besides the point. I dont just sit here and sign papers. I ahve tons upons tons of things i do. This job is a lot and one wrong move and I'd go down quickly and my reputation would be ruined. Im risting a lot being in thos jon as well. Its a lot so i ahve to work and work hard everyday." I find myself mumbling to her like shes someone ive known my entire life, but being very cautious of what I say.

"Jeez. That's a lot." She said speechless.

I smiled, again.

"Okay enough of talking buisness, what's something you've always wanted, but never got. Or did, but it didn't seem to be enough." I asked, slowly swaying my chair side to side.
