Chapter 3: Under the Moonlight

Start from the beginning

Nanashi:"I-i have to help him...hang on Lancer-!"

Priest:"It isn't necessary"

The Priest followed Nanashi at his own pace, walking up to his side with the least of worries on his face while his sight locked onto the Servant that resumed his fighting with the seven beasts

Nanashi:"He's cornered, i have to-!"

Priest:"Is he really? Take a closer look"

Following his advice, Nanashi returned to see the battle, only managing to see the blurred images of the shadowy creatures and the Lancer along the childish laughter of his Servant, as if he was having the best time of his life

Nanashi:"I-i can't see them..." Nanashi said with worry and surprise mixed in his voice, to which Priest only chuckled

Priest:"Servants aren't like us, they're stronger, faster, and even more resistant than we are. Lancer's fighting those beasts back-to-back and holding them off for you to win into the war, worrying for Servants in these kind of battles is meaningless if you look into it for enough time"

Nanashi:"Then...he's strong enough to fight anything on his own" With confidence in his tone, his hopes were risen now thinking of the possibilities with someone like Kazuki by his side

Priest:"Not precisely. While those beasts are just fragments of Berserker and his strength, naturally a Servant is capable enough to fight those off, Lancer may be strong but he may not be the strongest" The part about Berserker caught his attention, turning to see Priest who looked with a neutral stare onto the battle

Nanashi:"Berserker's behind this..?"

Priest:"What i said. He's an unstoppable monster that i can't hope you'll be able to defeat on your own, holding his little army off is the best bet"

As they were on their chat, Lancer and their enemies all stopped fighting and landed back on the ground, Kazuki spun the spear around his arm to then catch it with his opposite hand and point it at the beasts with a grin

Lancer:"Your move" Smugly said the speared kid, seeing his opponents slowly merge into the darkness of the night to disappear out of their sight

Nanashi:"They...escaped?" Wondered Nanashi outloud as the sun peeked over the horizon, both him and Kazuki turning to see Priest walking back to the church

Priest:"Daylight's come, no fights are allowed to happen during the day. That should conclude the explanation for the Holy Grail War, i have to prepare now, promised someone i would go out with her today" That was the only hint he gave before disappearing into the large building

A tap from Kazuki's spear onto Nanashi's head caught his attention, turning to see the white haired kid whose red eye peeked from behind his hair

Kazuki:"I'm sure your answers are given by now, so how about heading back?" Asked the Lancer while his spear vanished, walking away without expecting an answer back

Nanashi:"Hey wait up!"

Friday - May 10 / Liviana's Flower Shop / Dawn

Just like the usual day, the young Liviana had ran to her job to take care of things there, surprisingly enough Daiki decided to go with her and help her work on the shop while the night came again, though he wasn't looking forward to the battles up ahead

Daiki:"So Liv, what do i have to do, again?" Asked her roommate from the counter, fidgeting with a pen that he found on the way there

Liviana:"Just watch over any client that shows up, if they need something just call me, the prices are on the note at the counter!" Shouted back her reply the shopkeeper, watering a Lily on a pot over the adjacent room
