Jungkook's phone buzzed. He picked it out of his pocket and swiped right. It was Seokjin.

"So tell me where do we arrange the party?" Jin beamed on the other side of the phone.

"Party? What party?" Jungkook said confused.

His head still swimming with flashes of Taehyung and the conversation.

"Don't tell me you haven't been on the internet all day!"

"Ugh! Jin hyung please come to the point. . .I don't think I have it in me to talk right now." Jungkook groaned.

He didn't need this conversation, he needed a drink.

"Jungkook, you book went No.1 this morning. You are a bestselling author in 80 countries as we speak for the third time in a row." Jin said happiness and excitement transferring through the wire.

And Jungkook couldn't help but smile. The words still sinking in.

His book went No.1. He was a bestselling author. Again.

"Really?" He asked again still not able to believe.

"Yes kiddo. Now come home we have a party to throw."

The party was at one of the most happening skyline restaurants in the country. Some very prominent names were there and Jungkook was busy greeting and chatting with them. He wasn't a very big fan of these gatherings and always needed a saviour after a point who can whisk him away from the crowd.

In the past, it used to be Taehyung. He would quietly sneak him away to a quiet corner and make sure he was okay and comfortable.

He can't believe the mistake he made. It only took one moment for them to reach here and now he was alone and guilty. . .so very guilty.

From somewhere Seokjin's cheerful voice brought him to reality.

"Jungkook, you have got to listen to this news, really! Come here!"

Seokjin said and there he was standing with Jung Hoseok.

"Hello Mr. Jeon." Hoseok offered his hand and Jungkook politely accepted.

"Umm. . .Big day, huh! All three books of yours have nabbed top 3 spots on the bestsellers after all."

"Thanks." Jeon Jungkook managed, he was so weird with accepting compliments. If he could he would flick himself on his head.

Taehyung would have done that.
His mouth felt bitter with the thought. He stopped the waiter passing by and took another glass of champange.

"Kook, we were talking and he has a proposal for you." Seokjin's eyes held a sparkle as he talked or was it the lights Jungkook couldn't decide.

"For me?"

"They want to turn your latest bestseller 'Reckless' into a movie."
Jin spilled the beans.

"What?" Jungkook's pitch went higher.

Hoseok and Seokjin hummed in unison.

"You don't have to give an answer right away. We can fix a meeting and then we can talk." Mr. Jung assured.

Jungkook wondered if the fear and denial was so obvious on his face for Jung Hoseok to say that.

Jungkook looked at Seokjin who had his 'a lot going on the inside' smile on his face and so he sighed instead.

***
"I don't want my book turned into a movie. It's good as it is." Jungkook groaned to himself in Seokjin's living room.

"On a scale of 1 to 10 how silly are you? Lemme guess-umm eleven right?" Seokjin said in his sarcastic tone while pouring the champagne and handing it to him.

"What's your point?" Jungkook whined. His mind really wasn't working anymore.

He saw the love of his life after five years who looked a totally changed person and wants nothing to do with him and he had no time to process that because his book went bestseller and now someone wants to give it a life by turning it into a movie which he doesn't really want.

He really didn't know what to feel anymore so he just gulped down his glass empty and poured another one for himself.

"You went to meet Taehyung, right?" Seokjin asked slowly.

Jungkook gave no answer.

"He doesn't want anything to do with you right?"

"How do you get to know these things is beyond me." Jungkook answered.

His heart finally feeling overwhelmed with the whole situation. Tears threatening to fall off from the corner of his eyes.

What was he going to do if he can't get Taehyung to forgive him?

"You should take up their proposal, Jungkook-ah!"

"What proposal?" Jungkook looked back at him irritated. His mind feeling a little high from the booze.

"The movie proposal. Jung Hoseok? The famous director? Wanna adapt your book? Rings any bell?"

"I don't want that. I already told you."Jungkook yelled exasperated with his hyung.

Can't he see he is not feeling right?
Seokjin went silent.

God, Seokjin was never not happy and wise.

Sometimes to the point that it annoyed Jungkook but he loved his agent. He was a blessing in his life.

It was only because of Seokjin that he was sane.

And although Jungkook probably would never tell him. . .alive too.
But tonight it felt like he was on a different track. Jin did not understand how Jungkook was feeling. Nobody would.

All of this did not matter to Jungkook.

He was living in hell and a movie based on his book wasn't the thing that was going to turn it into heaven.

Jungkook got up to go to the balcony when Seokjin spoke again-
"It's your best chance to get close to Taehyung."
